Keep praying, Pro-lifers!

Last year, lawmakers approved 60 new pro-life laws across the country.  In the first month of 2017, 50 new pro-life bills have been introduced.  These include bans on dismemberment abortions and any procedure after 20 weeks gestation, fetal burial requirements, and bills that would defund Planned Parenthood.

Here are a few tweets about what “real people” have experienced at Planned Parenthood:

They had the machine.  They knew how to do dating.  They just wouldn’t do it for her unless she wanted her baby murdered.

The print ad and the “on hold” message said, “We do prenatal care.”  The receptionist said the opposite.

Yes, they really do target minorities for extermination, JUST LIKE MARGARET SANGER WANTED.

Leftist Outrage is Misplaced and Immature

coexist-mama-unborn

From Jonathon van Maren at Life Site News:

“For the last couple of weeks, everyone has been going insane. I have never seen this level of hysteria, hyperbolic rhetoric, and fearmongering, not even when the Left collectively decided that George W. Bush was worse than Hitler.

“It appears that the progressive movement has decided that a former New York liberal is the embodiment of pure evil and represents everything that must be opposed, however incoherently. Some of the critiques are warranted, but all of them, so far, have been hypocritical—especially considering that the other option for president of the United States was Hillary Rodham Clinton. …

“With Trump’s arrival, they have found that their exaggerated sense of self-righteousness does not entitle them to anything in a democracy. They gave up making arguments quite some time ago, and instead spent their time lecturing the rest of us sanctimoniously. People got tired of it, and took their power away.

“I was no Trump fan, but now that Trump is president, I take the same approach as Ben Shapiro and the National Review: Support the president when we can support him, and criticize him when we can’t. In other words, treat him like a flawed politician. The Left, however, is treating him like an invading demon that they must exorcise, and have completely lost their ability to see things objectively.”

Read the rest of this excellent summary of the Left’s insanity here.

CtH: Marren says, “The brazen hypocrisy of the Left combined with their swooning hysteria have revealed that they have lost their ability to see those they disagree with in political terms.”

I would suggest that they have lost their ability to see us in HUMAN terms.  How else could Nancy Pelosi go so far as to cast her party as righteous saviors against all of us traditional, patriotic Americans, Republicans, people of faith, and pro-lifers?

She actually said that we “pray in church on Sunday and then prey on people the rest of the week.”  Yet she is the one screaming loudly for taxpayer funding of abortion on demand and without restrictions.

We’re not the ones who said that investigating Planned Parenthood for trafficking in fetal remains was “un-American.”  Or who claimed that homosexual “marriage” was consistent with Catholic teaching, which is is totally not.

As for her statement on late-term abortion —  “As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this.” — dear God in Heaven, do not get me started.

We’re not the predators or the hypocrites, Ms. Pelosi.  I’d like to hope and pray you wake up and repent before it’s too late, because Hell awaits.  Sadly, I suspect you’ve been stewing in your sinful lies for so long that you’re past the point where you are capable of repentance.

This Is Already Tiresome

Tucker Carlson was interviewing some blow-dried Ken-doll wannabe congresspunk from California last night and this clown would not stray from his talking points no matter what Carlson asked him. Thankfully, the network panned to a shot of the daily protests outside the Supreme Court.

I may be the only person in America who noticed some idiot holding a pre-printed sign that had the word “OPPOSE” at the top with a blank white space underneath it. After Trump made his nomination known, they printed “GORSUCH” in the blank space with a Sharpie. They were prepared to protest whoever the president picked, even if it was the Wizard of Oz.

As with their shameless behavior regarding the Cabinet nominees, they are going to fight this appointment tooth and nail. In the end they will likely lose, although it is a case of one originalist replacing another. The all-out war will occur if one of the leftists, probably the Notorious RBG retires from the bench. She has already stated she’s not going anywhere until there is a Democrat president to replace her.

Think: The Dems wheeling the late and unlamented Robert C. Byrd on a hospital gurney for an important vote, or Tim Johnson who suffered a brain aneurism and was absent for almost two years and never replaced, since he represented North Dakota, which would have elected a Republican in his stead.

They’re playing a dangerous and potentially disastrous game. Tingles Matthews claimed that not a single Democrat senator will vote to confirm. I disagree. There are 12 senators from red states up for re-election in 2018. The playbook says there will be 5 or 6 democrats who will be given permission to confirm as long as there are not the requisite 60 votes to uphold the filibuster. They all sing from the same hymnal: ‘Lord, save my ass.’

[CtH: I am still puzzling over why RBG didn’t retire when Obama was in office.  She’s older than dirt and is unlikely to survive the 8 years Trump could be in office.  Probably she, like the rest of the Ds, thought Hillary was a shoe-in.  Oops!  Cuz replacing Scalia with Gorsuch is no biggie.  Replacing Ginsburg with someone the Republicans like will tip the bench back toward traditional values and put Roe v. Wade seriously at risk.  We can pray!]

Chris Matthews: Gorsuch Vote Will Go To A Filibuster; Democrats Will Not Vote For Him, “Not A One”

“I think this is going to come down to a sad denouement,” Matthews said Tuesday night. “I think it’s going to take 60 votes to get this approved and I think the Republicans will have their rank-and-file 52 votes will be there. But I don’t think the Democrats are going to give them a single vote which mean this will go to a filibuster.”

[CtH: Why is Tingles still talking?]

Chris Matthews on Democrats who vote for Gorsuch:  He will “be on that court for 30 years … they will have to answer for this guy.”

And since, according to Matthews, no Dems will vote to confirm, the nomination will fall short of the required 60 votes.

This Insurrectionist disagrees. No matter how much McConnell reveres Senate tradition, he will not let such a qualified jurist, and Trump’s first Court nominee, go down to ignominious defeat. If push comes to shove, I predict that McConnell will invoke the nuclear option, and Gorsuch will be confirmed on a simple-majority vote.

IOW, THE DEMOCRATS MUST CHOOSE WHAT HILL THEY WANT TO DIE ON

Here’s Why It Would Be Very Stupid for Dems to Block Neil Gorsuch
Since January 20, many Americans have been daydreaming about the possibility of rebuilding the government from the ground up, like an episode of Designated Survivor. But as fun as it would be to watch Democrats tantrum their way into blocking Judge Neil Gorsuch‘s Supreme Court nomination, it’s a bad idea and would follow in the Republicans’ dangerous precedent.

Dems to Filibuster SCOTUS Pick, Claim Seat ‘Stolen’: “We will use every lever in our power to stop this.”
Senator Merkley declared the seat could go to none of Trump’s picks because it was “stolen,” presumably by the Russians.

“This is a stolen seat. This is the first time a Senate majority has stolen a seat,” Merkley said in an interview. “We will use every lever in our power to stop this.”

Neil Gorsuch: Conservatives Praise Trump’s ‘Home Run’ Supreme Court Pick

GORSUCH MEETS WITH SCALIA’S WIDOW AND HIS SON

Conservatives were effusive in their praise on Tuesday evening for President Donald Trump’s choice for the U.S. Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch.

Protesters Arrested In NYC Demonstration Against Trump Supreme Court Pick
WONDER HOW LONG BEFORE THEY DECLARE THIS AGGRIEVED VICTIM WILL BE LABELED A ‘CIVIL RIGHTS ICON’?

[CtH: Where do they get these people who have TIME to go to all these protests?!]

Among those arrested was Gwen Carr, the mother of Eric Garner – the man who died on July 2014 on Staten Island as police tried to arrest him for selling loose, untaxed cigarettes. A grand jury later declined to indict NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo, who used a takedown move on Garner that many have described as a chokehold.

THIS WAS FROM YESTERDAY:
Once Again, Dems Deny Vote on Sessions… Where is GOP Leadership?
The Senate Judiciary Committee, once again, delayed voting Tuesday morning on the nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions for attorney general, pushing it back to Wednesday.

Therefore, the people of the United States remain without the proper attorney general, causing confusion and misdirection in the branch of government that ultimately provides safety and security to the American way of life.

BREAKING NEWS! PETE BRINGS YOU THE LATEST. THIS IS GREAT!!!

GOP changes Senate rules, approves Trump cabinet picks
A Democratic boycott couldn’t prevent President Trump’s cabinet picks for Treasury and health from gaining approval by the Senate Finance Committee.

The Republican-led committee changed its rules to allow it to operate without the boycotting Democrats and approve Steve Mnuchin for the Treasury post and Tom Price as Health and Human Services secretary.

The next step will be for the pair to be confirmed by the entire Senate.

THE REPUBLICANS MAY HAVE FINALLY GROWN A PAIR!

Democrat Senators Then and Now

Democrat senators boycotting Trump’s nominee hearings were singing a very different tune when it was Obama’s nominees who needed confirming.

  • Sen. Diane Feinstein: “We have always had the tradition of moving these nominees as quickly as we possibly could.”
  • Sen. Patrick Leahy: “My idea would be to go boom, boom, boom, boom, boom with them, so the American people get a package as a whole. And I’d like to do all that, of course, before the inauguration.”
  • Sen. Tim Kaine: “I think we owe deference to a president for choices to executive positions, and I think that is a very important thing to grapple with. The American public choose someone to be president, they’re giving that individual the mandate to govern, and that mandate includes the assembly of a team that the president feels is the appropriate team.”
  • Sen. Sherrod Brown: “The confirmation of all these important people–the attorney general, the treasury secretary, the secretary of state, and so many other important Cabinet officials–all that is so important.”

Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden participated in the boycott, despite having loudly condemned obstructionist tactics when Obama was president.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, “It is time to get over the fact that they lost the election. The president is entitled to have his Cabinet appointments considered. None of this is going to lead to a different outcome.”

Do your job!

2017_01-31-do-your-job

This is worth watching.  What strikes me most about Hatch’s long statement is how sincerely sad he sounds. Words he uses about the Democrat senators who have refused to even come to the hearings: shocking, ridiculous, offensive, partisan side show, reprehensible, unbelievable, stop posturing and acting like idiots, express yourself here and then vote, what’s the matter with Democrats, are they that bitter about Donald Trump? I don’t want to hear from any of them again about doing our jobs.  We’re here.  They’re not.  To differ, that’s one thing.  But I’ve always shown up.  We’ve given them plenty of time to show up. They have a right to vote no. But to not be here is a negation of their duty as senators.

A Video Primer

There is much to put together on the news of the day: Trump nominating Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme court. I have not yet completed the task of putting things in order. However, in an effort to entertain early risers I’m posting some YouTube videos pertinent to current events.

Morning Joe Panel Blasts Democrats for Not Coming to Terms With Being in the Minority

[CtH: I must say again to the older gentleman who declared that nobody under 35 shares Trump’s values … WHEN WILL DEMOCRATS LISTEN?!  I have six kids under 35.  They like Trump.]

Law Professor: Trump’s Immigration Ban Constitutional, Admin ‘Absolutely’ Had Right to Fire AG

[CtH: Turley – “It’s very inconsistent.”  Professor, you make the mistake of thinking Obamacrats care about law, policy, or values.  They don’t.  They care about personalities, feelings, and destroying America.  In that sense, the woman’s actions were totally consistent with what the Justice Dept did during Obama’s tenure.  Dearest thinks she’s been promised a pay off for pulling this stunt.  I’m inclined to agree.  Look for her to run for office with big Democrat money support.  https://polination.wordpress.com/2017/01/31/its-not-about-law-policy-or-values/%5D

Hatch Blasts Democrats for Boycotting Votes on Trump Nominees

Sen. Wyden Was Against Partisan Obstructionism Before He Supported It

Democrats Boycott Confirmation Votes on Tom Price and Steven Mnuchin

Sen. Hatch: ‘This is the most pathetic thing I’ve seen in my whole time in the United States Senate’

I REMEMBER WHEN THE DEMOCRATS IN WISCONSIN PULLED THE SAME STUNT SO AS TO AVOID HAVING A VOTE ON NEUTERING THE TEACHERS’ UNION IN WISCONSIN. A BUNCH OF THEM STAYED IN A MOTOR INN DOWN HERE IN TOWN. EVENTUALLY THEY HAD TO RETURN AND THE REPUBLICAN-LED LEGISLATURE TOOK AWAY MANDATORY DUES DEDUCTIONS. GIVEN A CHOICE, MOST OPTED TO KEEP THE MONEY IN THEIR OWN POCKETS RATHER THAN GIVE IT TO THE BOSSES TO BE PASSED ON TO THE DEMOCRAT PARTY.

Dem Senator Compares Trump’s Immigration Order to Japanese Internment Camps

[CtH: Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) lies AGAIN about how the executive order targets Muslims.  It DOESN’T.  And for crying out loud, if banning immigration from SOME COUNTRIES is comparable to rounding up Japanese-American citizens into internment camps, then where the heck was the outrage when Presidents Carter and Obama DID THE SAME THING?  They’ve lost their minds.  Or maybe they never had any.]

Hatch Praises Judge Gorsuch’s Nomination to Supreme Court

Pelosi: It’s a very hostile appointment… Lovely family, I’m sure. But as far as your family is concerned, uh, uh, if you breathe air, drink water, eat food, take medicine or in any other way interact with the courts this is a very bad decision.

[Pelosi says Gorsuch is “well outside the mainstream of American legal thought.”  By this, she means he doesn’t legislate for Progressive social change from the bench.]

VIOLENT BARBIE JEEP RACING!!
PETE DARES TO BE DIFFERENT.

MUCH MORE AFTER MY NAP
