War and Peace

One of the things that has made me the most angry during the past 8+ years is the way Obama and the media have treated our troops.

During the 2008 campaign, they paraded dead soldiers’ photos, publicly consoled Gold Star moms, elevated Cindy Sheehan to saint status, and castigated President Bush for being a blood-thirsty cowboy who sent our troops into harm’s way to line his own pockets.

When was the last time you saw any Democrat weeping crocodile tears over dead soldiers?  Trust me … it’s NOT because Obama ended war like he swore he would do.  It’s because Democrat wars are A-OK with the Left.  Peace and soldiers’ lives only matter when they can be used as clubs to beat up Republicans.

Disturbingly Unqualified

Word is out that P-E Trump will nominate Dr. Ben Carson for the cabinet position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

The ever watchful Nancy Pelosi honked:  “Our country deserves a HUD Secretary with the relevant experience. Dr. Carson is a disturbingly unqualified choice. Dec 5, 2016″

Where was Fancy Nancy when Obama nominated San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro for HUDSEC?

According to Politico, HUD awarded San Antonio $8.6 million in 2008 as part of the national Neighborhood Stabilization Program.  On Mayor Castro’s watch, San Antonio failed to properly spend funds.

  • Two and a half million in renovation contracts were awarded without a competitive bidding, a typical scam politicians use to line the pockets of their campaign contributors and cronies.
  • Another $1.1 million was used to acquire and fix up properties that, oopsies, never went toward housing lower-income families as required by HUD.

Oh well.  As one tweeter noted, “Corruption is a resume enhancer for Democrats.”

It seems that honesty, integrity, brilliance, and a good work ethic are detractors for Republicans.  Plus, you know,
