I just assumed it was snow,given the wintry side panels.Pretty sure that’s it.

Last winter, WordPress did it as a default that you have to turn off if you don’t like it. Dunno why, but I’m not seeing it. Maybe I turned it off permanently in my own settings. I remember finding it VERY annoying.
