Morgan to millennials: Stop whining!

What a crazy year this has been! The Chicago Cubs won the World Series, the Brits voted to leave the European Union, American voters finally Just Said No to the Clinton Crime Family… and now, perhaps most shocking of all, Piers Morgan — yes, Musket Morgan! — has actually said something that made sense. I would have thought they’d be holding the Winter Olympics in hell before I’d read something like this from Piers Morgan:

Cheer up, American millennials!

I mean, seriously, CHEER THE **** UP!

Oh, I know you’ve had a rough week ever since Donald Trump won the election.

But it’s time to get a grip.

STOP crying.

STOP taking personal days off work to ‘process’ what happened.

STOP huddling with your equally distraught buddies in Starbucks over your Venti Iced White Chocolate Mocha.

STOP howling away on social media about how unfair life is and how it’s the end of the planet as we know it.

STOP updating the exact number Hillary won the popular vote by, because it doesn’t bloody matter.

STOP marching around screaming your fury at the result when many of you couldn’t even bothered to vote.

STOP retweeting all your favourite celebrities’ own outbursts of pique, rage and anguish.

STOP demanding the Electoral College reverse the decision in December.

In short, STOP being such a faux-tormented bunch of absolutely deluded cretins.

Want to know why Trump is going to be your next president?

It’s because he is what’s called a ‘winner’.

I know it’s not ‘cool’ to be a winner these days.

It’s become an ugly, dirty word in your PC-crazed universe.

Far better, the social media millennial mob cries, to be a gallant loser who tries their best but comes up short — like Bernie, or now Hillary.

To which I say: bulls**t.

If you don’t strive to be the very best at whatever you do, however big or small, then what’s the point in doing it, or frankly even being alive?

Why wallow in self-induced mediocrity?

Yet that is precisely where so many of America’s 80 million millennials enjoy wallowing, and as a result they have become the most pampered, privileged and selfish members of the human race in history.

Where’s my evidence for such a shocking assertion?

Try the National Institutes of Health, which reported that 40% of millennials believe they should be promoted every two years regardless of performance, and are so fame obsessed that three times as many middle school girls now want to grow up to be the PA to a talentless celebrity like Kim Kardashian as want to be a senator.

(Hardly surprising therefore that 77% of millennials can’t even name a senator from their home state…)

Oh, and 80% of millennials say they’ll be richer than their parents, yet more of them live with their parents than with a spouse, still take cash off their parents, and work half as hard.

The tragic truth is that America’s millennials are a bunch of phone-addicted, selfie-obsessed, hashtagging, snapchatting, kale-munching, twerking, lazy, whining, ill-informed, politically correct, cossetted narcissists who find absolutely everything mortally offensive and believe there are 165 ways to sexually identify.

They don’t understand the concept of ‘losing’ because they’ve never had to experience it.

At school, to avoid any ‘low self-esteem issues’, they were all given endless ‘Participation Prizes’.

What possible pleasure can there be in ‘winning’ a prize for just turning up? What incentive is there to compete in anything if you’re going to ‘win’ anyway?

Participation prizes converted a whole new generation into people with no understanding of what genuine competition actually means. This, coupled with the advent of social media technology that allowed them to post relentless ‘filtered’ images of themselves, led to staggeringly self-absorbed figments of their own perfection.

The combined effect of these two things has been to create a deep-rooted sense of entitlement that manifested itself in a breakdown of biblical proportions when Trump triumphed last Wednesday.

Well, welcome to the real world, my delicate little Instagrammed snowflakes.

This is how democracy works…

You all have a chance to vote…

Someone wins, someone loses…

To the winner of a US presidential election goes all the spoils of being the most powerful person on earth…

To the loser, no gold stars for effort.

Just to Let You Know

As some of you may be aware, your intrepid reporter has been battery-operated since 3/2013 when a pacemaker was installed to keep the ‘ol ticker ticking. Lately I’ve been suffering occasional bouts of intense pain, like electric shocks in my chest. After consulting with my cardiologist today it was decided I needed another angiogram to make sure there wasn’t a problem with the bypasses I had in 2005. It’s scheduled for Tuesday. If a stent is needed I’ll have to stay overnight. There is a possibility my Thanksgiving meal will come from the hospital cafeteria. It is what it is.

I’ve seen the Cubs win a World Series and a republican get elected president. There’s not much left to look forward to. When you spend most of your life abusing your body with cigarettes and junk food there’s a price to be paid. This is just another installment.

Trump Announces National Security TeamLt. Gen. Mike Flynn-NSA, Sen. Sessions as AG, Rep. Pompeo to Head CIA
Last night the Trump campaign announced Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn as National Security Advisor.
This morning Donald Trump announced two more members of his security team.
Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) was the first US senator to endorse Donald Trump for president last year.

Incoming CIA Director Has Reputation for Confronting Iran
Pompeo pick garners high praise from congressional sources, policy experts
Pompeo, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, earned a reputation among his Republican colleagues for his aggressive investigations into Obama administration secrecy surrounding last year’s nuclear agreement with Iran, multiple sources confirmed.
Multiple investigations by the lawmaker unearthed documents showing that senior U.S. officials engaged in secret talks with Iran that led to the payment of nearly $2 billion to Tehran by the United States.

Dem lawmaker says Sessions would drag the country back to dark times
In a blistering statement about a fellow lawmaker, Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez seemed to use the Republican’s full name — Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III — in an attempt to invoke Confederacy imagery.
“If you have nostalgia for the days when blacks kept quiet, gays were in the closet, immigrants were invisible and women stayed in the kitchen, Sen. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions is your man,” Gutierrez said.

Howard Dean Compares Trump Election to Kent State Shootings, Selma AL’s ‘Bloody Sunday’

Wednesday on SiriusXM radio’s Urban View channel with host Joe Madison, former Vermont Governor and DNC Chair Howard Dean compared the outrage of young protestors over President-elect Donald Trump’s victory to the Kent State shootings in 1970 when the Ohio National Guard killed four students or the Edmund Pettus Bridge, which was the site of Bloody Sunday in 1965, when policemen beat civil rights demonstrators.

NRCC Endorses Pelosi For Minority Leader
The group credited the California Democrat for squandering their majority — losing 63 seats to Republicans in 2010 — by promoting unpopular policies like Obamacare.
“Former Speaker Pelosi has also established herself as the world’s worst election prognosticator,” the NRCC wrote in its endorsement. “Since her relegation to the minority, Pelosi has repeatedly assured reporters, cycle after cycle, that a Democrat majority is right around the corner, only to be soundly defeated each time.”

Ryan Suggests House Will Defund Planned Parenthood– Cites Bill That Would’ve Done It For 1 Year
Ryan responded: “We’ve already shown what we believe with respect to funding Planned Parenthood. We put a bill on President Obama’s desk in reconciliation. Our position has not changed.”
Ryan was referring to the “Restoring Americans’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act, or H.R. 3762.
The House bill, was vetoed by President Barack Obama
“This afternoon’s vote is a victory for taxpayers and a victory for life,” Pence said after the vote. “By banning federal funding to Planned Parenthood, Congress has taken a stand for millions of Americans who believe their tax dollars should not be used to subsidize the largest abortion provider in America.”

Obama Tears Up Drilling Permits to Stop Gigantic Energy Boom in Colorado
Jewell’s Bureau of Land Management claimed that the 25 “Mancos” energy drilling leases now being cancelled were just a non-performing portion of 65 leases on “lands managed by the White River National Forest” and “amount to less than ½ of 1 percent of the active leases on public lands in the state of Colorado.”
But the 25 properties were “non-performing” only because they have been tangled in red-tape since President Barack Obama took office in 2009, even though they were leased in 2005 during George W. Bush’s administration.
The BLM manages nearly 700 million acres of federal lands in the United States. Because of tight restrictions, the “onshore” oil and gas wells on BLM lands accounts for just 11 percent of the natural gas supply and five percent of the oil supply in the United States.

No Saudi Oil Says Trump; Saudi Arabia Fires Back
Imagine making the world’s largest oil exporter sweat it out That’s exactly what Donald Trump is doing.
Despite the U.S. shale oil boom, which has made it the third largest global crude oil producer, the country still relies heavily on Saudi crude imports. Saudi Arabia is the largest Middle Eastern oil supplier to the U.S. with an 11% market share and has also invested heavily in U.S. downstream assets (refineries) to help lock in that supply. Around 31% of all U.S. oil imports are from OPEC members, while Canadian oil imports have a 41% share.

Anti-Trump Protesters Release Personal Info of Electoral College Members
A national anti-Donald Trump group called the #NotMyPresident Alliance distributed the personal information of dozens of Electoral College members to its supporters on Wednesday through a Google doc spreadsheet.
The Electoral College members targeted were those who represented states that voted Republican, BuzzFeed reported.

Pence Tells House GOP to Get Ready to Pass Sweeping Legislation
Vice President-elect Mike Pence told House Republicans in a closed-door meeting Thursday to be ready to move a lot of legislation next year, Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady said.
“Donald Trump is a man of action and we’re counting on you ” Pence said, according to Brady. The California Republican said that Pence mentioned a tax overhaul and Obamacare, but didn’t get into specifics.
Pence, a former House member himself, returned to the U.S. Capitol Thursday to visit with House Republicans, and he plans to meet later with top Democratic leaders in the House and Senate.

“YOUR WHITENESS SCARES ME!” Leftist Mob Threatens Radio Host Vicki McKenna at UW Madison

Far left race protesters stood up and screamed, “Safety! Safety! Safety,” interrupting Shapiro’s address. The safe word apparently was an expression that the university is a safe space, where hate-filled rhetoric isn’t welcome….
…Campus police watched but did nothing to stop the interruptions. At one point, they looked on as the protesters stormed the stage and continued their chants. Shapiro was told by police that they were instructed not to stop the demonstrators, who made their intentions to disrupt clear on Facebook days before the speech.

Anti-Bullying Activist Arrested for Assaulting 74 Year-Old Trump Supporter
23 year-old Black Lives Matter activist Shacara McLaurin was charged with felony and misdemeanor assault after she attacked a 74 year-old Trump supporter at a protest outside of Trump Tower.

Oddsmakers Say Michelle Obama Is Democrats’ Best Bet For 2020
Bovada, an online gambling site, says the odds of Mrs. Obama winning are 12-to-1. The next-best Democrats, Sen. Tim Kaine and Elizabeth Warren, get odds of 14-to-1.
By contrast three Republicans have higher odds: President-elect Donald Trump is a 2-to-1 bet to repeat, while Vice President-elect Mike Pence and House Speaker Paul D. Ryan are each given 10-to-1 odds.

Obama won’t call off anti-Trump protesters
“I would not advise people who feel strongly or are concerned about some of the issues that have been raised over the course of the campaign, I would not advise them to be silent,” Obama said during a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Obama said protests are just something Trump would have to get used to as the leader of the free world.

2013: Obama is at Two Dozen Scandals and Counting

Reprinted from White House Dossier
Posted on August 1, 2013, 9:25 am by Keith Koffler

President Obama claims that Republicans are busy probing “phony scandals.” But the sheer number of scandals suggests that misbehavior, abuse of power, and possibly corruption are not something being dreamed up by the GOP, but a defining characteristic of the Obama administration.

Here is a full list of the administration’s most egregious scandals. The ones we know about, at least. I’ve added four since the last time we ran the list – an increase of 20 percent!

1. IRS targets Obama’s enemies: The IRS targeted conservative and pro-Israel groups prior to the 2012 election. Questions are being raised about why this occurred, who ordered it, whether there was any White House involvement and whether there was an initial effort to hide who knew about the targeting and when.

2. Benghazi: This is actually three scandals in one:

The failure of administration to protect the Benghazi mission.
The changes made to the talking points in order to suggest the attack was motivated by an anti-Muslim video
The refusal of the White House to say what President Obama did the night of the attack

3. Watching the AP: The Justice Department performed a massive cull of Associated Press reporters’ phone records as part of a leak investigation.

4. Rosengate: The Justice Department suggested that Fox News reporter James Rosen is a criminal for reporting about classified information and subsequently monitored his phones and emails.

5. Potential Holder perjury I: Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress he had never been associated with “potential prosecution” of a journalist for perjury when in fact he signed the affidavit that termed Rosen a potential criminal.

6. The ATF “Fast and Furious” scheme: Allowed weapons from the U.S. to “walk” across the border into the hands of Mexican drug dealers. The ATF lost track of hundreds of firearms, many of which were used in crimes, including the December 2010 killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

7. Potential Holder Perjury II: Holder told Congress in May 2011 that he had just recently heard about the Fast and Furious gun walking scheme when there is evidence he may have known much earlier.

8. Sebelius demands payment: HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited donations from companies HHS might regulate. The money would be used to help her sign up uninsured Americans for ObamaCare.

9. The Pigford scandal: An Agriculture Department effort that started as an attempt to compensate black farmers who had been discriminated against by the agency but evolved into a gravy train delivering several billion dollars in cash to thousands of additional minority and female farmers who probably didn’t face discrimination.

10. GSA gone wild: The General Services Administration in 2010 held an $823,000 training conference in Las Vegas, featuring a clown and a mind readers. Resulted in the resignation of the GSA administrator.

11. Veterans Affairs in Disney World: The agency wasted more than $6 million on two conferences in Orlando. An assistant secretary was fired.

12. Sebelius violates the Hatch Act: A U.S. special counsel determined that Sebelius violated the Hatch Act when she made “extemporaneous partisan remarks” during a speech in her official capacity last year. During the remarks, Sebelius called for the election of the Democratic candidate for governor of North Carolina.

13. Solyndra: Republicans charged the Obama administration funded and promoted its poster boy for green energy despite warning signs the company was headed for bankruptcy. The administration also allegedly pressed Solyndra to delay layoff announcements until after the 2010 midterm elections.

14. AKA Lisa Jackson: Former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson used the name “Richard Windsor” when corresponding by email with other government officials, drawing charges she was trying to evade scrutiny.

15. The New Black Panthers: The Justice Department was accused of using a racial double standard in failing to pursue a voter intimidation case against Black Panthers who appeared to be menacing voters at a polling place in 2008 in Philadelphia.

16. Waging war all by myself: Obama may have violated the Constitution and both the letter and the spirit of the War Powers Resolution by attacking Libya without Congressional approval.

17. Biden bullies the press: Vice President Biden’s office has repeatedly interfered with coverage, including forcing a reporter to wait in a closet, making a reporter delete photos, and editing pool reports.

18. AKPD not A-OK: The administration paid millions to the former firm of then-White House adviser David Axelrod, AKPD Message and Media, to promote passage of Obamacare. Some questioned whether the firm was hired to help pay Axelrod $2 million AKPD owed him.

19. Sestak, we’ll take care of you: Former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel used Bill Clinton as an intermediary to probe whether former Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) would accept a prominent, unpaid White House advisory position in exchange for dropping out of the 2010 primary against former Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.).

20. I’ll pass my own laws: Obama has repeatedly been accused of making end runs around Congress by deciding which laws to enforce, including the decision not to deport illegal immigrants who may have been allowed to stay in the United States had Congress passed the “Dream Act.”

21. The hacking of Sharyl Attkisson’s computer: It’s not clear who hacked the CBS reporter’s computer as she investigated the Benghazi scandal, but the Obama administration and its allies had both the motive and the means to do it.

22. An American Political Prisoner: The sudden decision to arrest Nakoula Basseley Nakoula on unrelated charges after protests in the Arab world over his anti-Muslim video is an extraordinarily suspicious coincidence. “We’re going to go out and we’re going to prosecute the person that made that video,” Hillary Clinton allegedly told the father of one of the ex-SEALs killed in Banghazi.

23. Get rid of inconvenient IGs: Corporation for National and Community Service Inspector General Gerald Walpin was fired in 2009 as he fought wasteful spending and investigated a friend of Obama’s, Sacramento Mayor and former NBA player Kevin Johnson. The White House says Walpin was incompetent.

24. Influence peddling: An investigation is underway of Alejandro Mayorkas, director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, who has been nominated by Obama for the number two post at the Department of Homeland Security. Mayorkas may have used his position to unfairly obtain U.S. visas for foreign investors in company run by Hillary Clinton’s brother, Anthony Rodham.

The blood of martyrs

ISIS militants cut the fingertips off a 12 year old boy and severely beat him in front of his father.  When the father refused to renounce Christ, the butchers tortured and beat him and the two other ministry workers. Then the three men and the boy were crucified.  Their bodies were left on their crosses for two days.

Eight missionaries in another village were beheaded after they refused to convert to Islam. Two of the missionaries were women, 29 and 33 years old, who were publicly raped and beaten by militants. Throughout their abuse, the women continuously prayed. After they were beheaded, their bodies were hung on crosses.

As it was in the first centuries of persecution, so it is now.  The blood of martyrs waters the seeds of conversion.  A ministry director in Syria says, “In the past we used to pray to have one person from a Muslim background come to the Lord. Now, there are so many we can barely handle all the work among them.”
