Let the Games Begin

If anybody knows how to jerk the press around, it has to be Donald Trump. I can imagine he gets a real kick out of them making fools of themselves as they try to trip him up at every turn. He slipped out the other night to have dinner with his family at 21, a high-end steak house. It so happened there was a reporter there who immediately tweeted to all his co-conspirators that he was there. High dudgeon all around. How dare he actually go to dinner with his family without checking with them first? The nerve of the guy! Who does he think he is, the president?
As Trump Leaves Press Behind for Steak Dinner, Incoming Admin Already Showing Lack of Transparency
In a highly unusual move, President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday night left his Manhattan residence without notifying the reporters covering him or giving any indication of where he was going.
The maneuver seemed to deliberately limit access to the media.
The only way the press eventually ascertained his whereabouts was after a Bloomberg reporter, who happened to be dining at the 21 Club, tweeted a photo of Trump and some of his transition team in the Midtown steakhouse.
While the dinner choice left the media mad, diners inside the former speakeasy were ecstatic.
“There was a standing ovation when he came and left,” said Andrew Testo, a 43-year-old who was eating with friends. “He was with his whole family. It was like Sunday dinner with the Trumps, but on a Tuesday. It was awesome.”

MEDIA WAR ON TRUMP: Top 28 of 35 US News Stories on Tuesday were Anti-Trump Hit Pieces
The top stories on Tuesday show the absolute anti-Trump bias by corrupt American media.
28 of the top 35 articles are anti-Trump hit pieces.
The headlines include:
— Trump Transition Shake-Up Part of ‘Stalinesque Purge’ of Christie Loyalists
— Was Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s Attack Dog, Paid Illegally?
— There’s No Such Thing as a Good Trump Voter

Noted Constitutional Scholar, Barbra Streisand, Urges Obama To Bypass Senate, Appoint Supreme Court Justice Unilaterally
“According to the Washington Post, he has the power to do this since Congress has refused to vote, and apparently that can be considered a waiver of its rights to advise and consent,” she said.
Her Washington Post citation referred to an April 8 op-ed by Gregory L. Diskant, a national board member of the liberal advocacy group Common Cause, who argued that the Senate would have “waived its right” to confirm a justice if it failed to do so in a “reasonable amount of time.”

Democrats’ new Senate leader open to filibustering Trump’s Supreme Court picks
Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, said nominations to the high court should get support from both parties, and said the filibuster is a way to enforce that on a president. He pointedly noted that when his party changed filibuster rules three years ago, they left intact the ability to filibuster at the Supreme Court level.
“I’ll underline that we did not change the rules for Supreme Court because we thought on something as important as this, there should be some degree of bipartisan agreement,” Mr. Schumer said.

Nancy Pelosi On Trump Win: “We’ve Been Through Hell”
A lot of the newer democrat reps think after 14 years as leader, it’s time to put this swaybacked nag out to pasture.
One senior House Democratic aide described Tuesday’s meeting as being unusually contentious as members grappled with how the Democratic Party should rebuild following last week’s election losses, with some wanting new blood in leadership.
“After every single election cycle, she (Pelosi) says things are going to change” in how she interacts with the caucus, the aide said characterizing lawmakers’ concerns. “But then, she doesn’t do anything different. It’s the same inside circle” surrounding her.

President Trump is Going to Hit Some Very Nasty Greenies Where it Really Hurts
Like a baby sea otter on MDMA, basically: frolicking and swooping and frisking and diving in the lovely warm, salty water made up entirely of the tears of Hillary voters, greens, and the bien-pensant wankerati.
When it comes to dealing with people who behave badly and ruin the lives of others, I’m with the Old Testament rather than the New one: don’t turn the other cheek, let alone love them as thyself, but smite them, salt them, and crush them underfoot like the mutant slugs they are.
Nowhere, it seems to me, is the kind of retribution more necessary than in the field of environmentalism.

The MSM Savaging of Melania Trump Begins
And so, a piece at Yahoo News made an issue of a dress that Melania Trump recently wore. The headline read: “Melania Trump Wore a $1,655 Fiery Red Dress for 60 Minutes Interview.”
Were readers supposed to be outraged by the price tag? Given the media’s predisposition to smear the Trumps at every turn, I’ll assume the worst intentions about the headline.
Anyone remember the dress Michelle Obama wore a couple of years ago when she and Barry hosted French President Francois Hollande at the White House? It cost $12,000.

Hillary Makes First Appearance Since Concession: I “Never Wanted To Leave House Again”
A weary-looking Hillary Clinton said Wednesday evening at her first public appearance since she conceded to Donald Trump that she considered cancelling her speech to the children’s advocacy group but kept the commitment out of respect for her mentor.
‘I will admit coming here tonight wasn’t the easiest thing for me,’ she said at the Children’s Defense Fund’s gala in Washington, D.C.

Jason Chaffetz: We Aren’t Done With Hillary Yet
“We have to get to the truth. It was was never about a political targeting of Hillary Clinton. She created one of the biggest security breaches in the history of the State Department. We still have tens-of-thousands of documents we still haven’t seen, there’s more than Hillary Clinton involved in this, you have dozens of people within the bowels of the organization,” Chaffetz said.

With Trump’s Signature, Dozens of Obama’s Rules Could Fall

Dozens of major regulations passed recently by the Obama administration — including far-reaching changes on health care, consumer protections and environmental safety — could be undone with the stroke of a pen by Donald J. Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress starting in January, thanks to a little-used law that dates back to 1996.
And it comes with a scorched-earth kicker: If the law is used to strike down a rule, the federal agency that issued it is barred from enacting similar regulation again in the future.

No, Obama can’t grant ‘amnesty’ by pardoning illegal immigrants
In reality, the president does not possess this authority, as unauthorized presence in the U.S. is a civil violation, not a criminal one. Presidential pardon power only applies to federal crimes, described as “offenses against the United States” in the Constitution. As such, “a pardon can’t make someone a citizen or lawful resident,” explains John Harrison, a law professor at the University of Virginia. “Deportation is not a criminal proceeding, it’s a civil process that removes from the country someone who is not entitled to be here.”

Giuliani: Trump can disavow Iran deal on day one
Former New York Mayor explains that Trump is not bound by Iran deal since Obama never brought it to the Senate for approval.

“First of all, the president has a lot of options. President Obama didn’t do what he should have done, under the Constitution. He should have submitted that to the Congress, that’s a treaty. There’s no way of escaping the fact that that’s a treaty,” argued Giuliani.
“It should have been submitted to the Senate… he never did. What that means is, that deal is over with the current president. Trump can disavow it, as a matter of law, like that,” he continued.

Jason Riley: Harlem Gives President Trump a Chance
When I asked Pace, who retired from a job in dress manufacturing several years ago, if he thought Mr. Trump would ever win him over, he responded: “He said he’d protect Medicare. I can go along with that. He said he’d get rid of the Bloods and the Crips and the gangs—get them out of here. I like that. If he does those two things, he’s my man.”

USGS Announces Largest Oil And Gas Deposit Ever Assessed In U.S.
On Tuesday, the USGS announced that an area known as the Wolfcamp shale contains 20 billion barrels of oil and 16 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
That is nearly three times more petroleum than the agency found in North Dakota’s Bakken shale in 2013.
“The Texas discovery is in a place that has been drilled before by conventional methods,” Jeff reported for NPR’s Newscast Unit. “But now that oil companies use horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing — or fracking — they can access reserves that previously were out of reach.”

Liberal hysteria over Trump is rapidly becoming self-satire
14955783_595587587314453_8459501322457812338_nIt turns out that the hundred million dollars’ worth of Hillary campaign demonization has paid off in creating millions of people gripped by hysteria over the utter evilness of Donald Trump. Calling Trump Hitler is already passé so the quest for superlatives of evil is running out of material. According to a U.S. Congressman, Hitler, and even Stalin and Mao are all pikers in terms of mass killing.

This Is No Time to Go Wobbly, Donald
Trump must continue to refuse to play the game.
Democrats have repeatedly proven that bipartisanship to them means that Republicans roll over for whatever Democrats want. If not, Republicans are tarred as obstructionists, racists, or whatever other epithet du jour. That’s because progressives are cultists hungry for more power so they can impose their ideological vision by any means necessary. Like Goldfinger, they don’t want Republicans to talk, they want them to die.

Obama sets new record for regulations, 527 pages in just one day
“This is astonishing and should be of great concern, and intolerable, to policymakers. It is remarkable enough that the all-time record has been passed before Thanksgiving,” he added.
Obama has promised to regulate by executive authority, but the sheer number of pages of regulations being rushed through is astonishing.

Trump Could Cut $42 Billion Worth Of Regs Upon Taking Office
Trump said on the campaign trail that 70 percent of federal regulations “can go,” so the American Action Forum (AAF) put together a list of 48 major regulations Congress could invalidate under the Congressional Review Act (CRA).

“Together, those rules impose more than $42.5 billion in total costs, $6.5 billion in annualized costs, and 53 million paperwork burden hours,” AAF analysts Sam Batkins and Dan Goldbeck wrote in a new report.

Obama awards Springsteen, Redford and DeGeneres Medal of Freedom
Before he leaves office, President Obama is decorating a starry list of entertainers, newsmakers and civilians with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
It’s no surprise that Bruce Springsteen made the cut.
On Wednesday, Obama named 21 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, which is presented to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.
The list honors a who’s-who of Hollywood, including Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, Diana Ross, Robert DeNiro, Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, Robert Redford and Cicely Tyson.

Richard Engel: Syrian Doctor Says Obama Hasn’t Done Anything for People in Aleppo

The doctor actually said President Obama hasn’t done anything for us anyway. Look what just happened now. He’s in the basement of a destroyed hospital and he frankly didn’t think that anything could get worse,” Engel said.
“And he thought maybe with a new president things could get better, so frankly if you’re at rock bottom, which is what they are at in eastern Aleppo, maybe any change looks good,” he added.
At least 87 people, including four children, were killed Wednesday by air strikes over rebel-held eastern Aleppo, CNN reported.

Dem Rep Calls For Review Of Trump’s ‘Financial Empire’
“We have never had a president like Mr. Trump in terms of his vast financial entanglements and his widespread business interests around the globe,” Cummings wrote. “Moreover, we have not had a presidential candidate in modern times who has refused to disclose his tax returns to the American people.”

:)))))) … wondering if the press ever get invited to those famous Biden-Obama lunches. Ahem.

    Well done, Mr. Hanks!
