In Case You Were Wondering

Why there has been no mention of the Michelle Fields-Corey Lewandowski kerfuffle, the reason is simple. It’s all an attempt to smear the other guy and quite frankly I’m sorely disappointed with some of the behavior exhibited on our side. This kind of crap is expected from the democrats because they have no manners,no conscience and no class.People I respect very much have come down on both the Trump side and the Cruz side. What I fear is that Trump will be denied the nomination,he’ll break his word and go third party and we’ll face the spectre of not only a third Obama term in a tacky pastel pantsuit but quite probably a democrat majority in the senate and there is a remote chance the House is in jeopardy.the thought of the dems controlling all three elements(in practicality they already do) and add a fifth far-left Supreme Court Justice and you get a recipe for certain ruin. All of which will,of course,be blamed on republicans.
The boorish, disrespectful behavior we know is coming from the left has been manifested in smearing each others wives, false accusations of infidelity, lies and threats of lawsuits. This is all gleefully promoted by a media looking to cause as much damage as they can to help their girl.At last nights town hall all three remaining candidates walked back their pledge to support the eventual nominee.
One thing I’ve noticed about The Donald is when he can’t answer a question he resorts to personal attacks….like a liberal. The only defense for his shifting political positions is the polls…the polls…the polls….I’m leading in all the polls.Polls are about as useful as a warm bucket of piss. Its all he has,but his backers claim he’ll build the wall (he won’t) bring American jobs back(he won’t) but the disenchantment among people is so deep they’re willing to accept his rhetoric.
Just as a matter of record I’m posting some videos chronicling the tempest in a teacup that was fabricated to smear Trump.

How Michelle Fields Conned Prosecutors into Charging Corey Lewandowski with Battery
The battery case Michelle Fields filed against Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is the result of a con job, a police report reveals. We can now report that Fields conspired with Washington Post reporter Ben Terris to frame Lewandowski.

Michelle Fields approaches Trump, requiring Secret Service agents to step in.

Here’s Hillary Laughing About All The Times Bill Couldn’t Keep It In His Pants
I REMEMBER HEARING A CLIP OF THE AUDIO VERSION OF THE BOOK SOMEBODY WROTE FOR HER THAT SHE WAS OBSCENELY OVERPAID FOR
WHEN SHE CLAIMED TO HAVE FIRST HEARD ABOUT BENT PENIS’ DALLIANCES WITH A CHUBBY 22 YEAR OLD
    ‘I COULD HARDLY BREATH”
SHE WAS PROBABLY SO LIVID MONICA HAD THE DRESS SHE THREW THINGS AT THE BASTARD

Geneva Ridgefield, mother of the late Sandra Bland, made a Tuesday campaign appearance in support of Hillary Clinton.

According to the Weekly Standard, Ridgefield defended the former first lady for lying when the Monica Lewinski scandal first broke.

Ridgefield told the crowd that “if I was to be held accountable for everything my man did, we’d have a problem,” earning a hearty guffaw from Hillary in the process.

Bill’s Alleged Mistress: Hillary Had Several Abortions, Kept Chelsea For Political Reasons
SPEAKING FOR MYSELF ONLY,THIS SOUNDS PERFECTLY LOGICAL

She had several abortions before she had Chelsea, and it was only because Bill convinced her that if they were ever to move up in politics, they had to have a child, because that’s what the political analysts had said,” Miller explained. “They’ve got to see her [Hillary] as a human.”

Trump Rescinds Pledge To Support The Eventual Republican Nominee

Anderson: Do you pledge to support the nominee?
Trump: No…We’ll see who it is…

All 3 candidates in this clip below will not pledge to support the eventual nominee.

To sum up: We are gonna lose and we have no one to blame but ourselves
Donald Trump said Tuesday night he will no longer honor his pledge to support the eventual Republican pick for president regardless of who wins the nomination.

The Republican front-runner made the remarks during a town hall event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

When he was asked if he would keep the pledge he signed last September to back the eventual nominee, Trump responded “No, I won’t.”

“We’ll see who it is,” he said during the town hall hosted by CNN.

Trump added that he doesn’t believe he’s been treated “fairly” by the Republican National Committee and the GOP establishment.

Teachers Unions Win First SCOTUS Battle After Scalia’s Death

IN A FEW SHORT MONTHS SCOTUS WILL BE DOMINATED BY IDEALOGUES WHO SUPPLANT OUR CONSTITUTION WITH THEIR PERSONAL OPINIONS.
IT WAS AMAZING WHILE IT LASTED
Conservatives suffered their first major loss Tuesday resulting from the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, as the Supreme Court deadlocked 4-4 on the First Amendment rights of teachers unions’ members.

California law requires public-school teachers to contribute part of their paychecks to local teachers’ unions to subsidize what the unions claim is collective bargaining for wages and benefits. The law also requires teachers who do not want unions to spend their money on liberal political activism to step forward to file an objection, and to renew that objection in writing every year.

Trump: Health care and education are two of the U.S. government’s top three functions
    UH,NO,THEY’RE NOT
It’s pure poison to conservatism and it’s inconsistent with Trump’s own program, which calls for abolishing the Department of Education — watch Cooper bail him out by asking if he means that state governments should oversee education, to which Trump replies yeah, right, the states — but it’s music to the ears of general-election voters.
Just this morning he told ABC that he’d look to fill Supreme Court vacancies with judges who “would look very seriously at [Hillary’s] email disaster,” which on one level is just some perfunctory trolling of Hillary and another level is incoherent. How would a judge prove that he’d take allegations of mishandling classified information seriously? Is there a judge across the whole country who wouldn’t? Doesn’t it fall to the FBI to “look very seriously” at mishandling classified info, not an appellate judge who’d realistically only end up weighing in on the legal niceties of any eventual prosecution? No wonder this guy doesn’t want to debate Cruz one on one.

  9. You’re right, Pete. I got really depressed last night when I read all the twitter feeds of people I respected who were all on the “Believe Michelle” bandwagon. Of all people, Piers Morgan called her out for being a showboater, and our side attacked him, even though he was right. It’s a sham, just like most of the rest of the stuff going on right now. We may be doomed yet.

It’s a no-win situation. The GOP would rather throw the election to Hillary than allow Trump to win.If he gets the nomination, half the base will stay home.if Cruz or anyone else gets it,Trump goes third party and takes 30% of the voters with him.Either scenario just provides a smoother path for the Bitch to glide into the White House.

When Liars Lie, the Honest Face Ridicule

      • That’s fine, but I continue to resist. I just read David French(thanks for the link), and I’m thoroughly unconvinced by his accusations of “lying.” In my view, French commits several absolutely malicious lies in the way he distorts the events in just the first few paragraphs. For example, he claims that she “burst into tears.” The video shows no such thing. In fact the audio captures her berating him for being an ass and being “too hard,” but her demeanor is determined and unflustered. Otherwise, it show practically nothing happening at all. Why are we even talking about who lied about what? The video shows nothing friggin’ happened! French’s case is so weak, I’m astounded.

I will say that while many people (not you – others, like Sundance) prefer to misuse Occam’s Razor in cases like this (Why would she lie?), I prefer Stove’s Law. Australian philosopher: “If you already know what someone will say due to his close relationships, job or firm beliefs, you should very nearly give him zero credibility when reporting what happened during an event.” In this case, everyone believes Ben Terris, just like he was a dispassionate observer (he is not). And, I don’t believe him. I give him zero credibility. I wonder, then, why French considers his statements as fact, but Lewandowski’s as lies? Because he seems like a jerk? His job is being a jerk. And first claiming to not remember one grab of many in a crowded room can hardly be classified a malicious lie or not subject to revision or speculation.

But clearly half the people I know seem to disagree with that assessment, and I’ve already nearly lost a few of them over this event, so I’ll say no more. But I’m glad you spoke up about disagreeing on this. You are one of the few bloggers I know not afraid to buck the tide or stand up for what you believe, and I have often been glad of that.

She absolutely does not burst into tears in the videos, she doesn’t fall down, at most it looks like her ankle temporarily gives way for a split second, and the only contact that I have been able to see occurs when he touches her upper arm, but the bruises she photographed are on her forearm. My sister was married to an abusive alcoholic, so I have no tolerance for unnecessary violence, but I just do not see it with my own eyes. I’m with you, Grunt. That contact was so insignificant that I can understand why the jerk doesn’t remember it. I doubt I would either in that situation.

        • You may be right; I wasn’t there, so I have no way of knowing for sure what did or did not occur. I heard and read a lot of conflicting things about the incident, and finally just went with the ones that sounded most persuasive. No doubt having just listened to Andrew Klavan ranting on the subject on his daily podcast influenced me, perhaps a little too much. But if Andrew Klavan, Bill Whittle, Scott Ott, Stephen Green, Ben Shapiro, and David French are on one side of an argument, and sundance cracker is on the other, you can hardly blame me for siding with the former. 🙂

          • You’re absolutely right that it’s hard to argue with that crowd. And I really hate being stuck on the same side as Sundance. That is embarrassing. But this seems to be one of those “rend the temple curtain” events where there’s visceral disagreement among friends and parties are split.

Ben Shapiro left Breitbart for this, and all the rest, like Nolte and Pollak did not. The National Review(e.g., French) has been busy making itself a pariah among conservatives by supporting the establishment and insulting the rank and file for some time, and I don’t even read them any more. But those PJ Media guys are awesome, and I don’t have much of an answer to that. Maybe they’re right.

          • What A Hoot

You know what I did? I actually listened to Donald Trump talk on this in his impromptu press conference on his plane in WI and also watched his rally the same day (may have been next) where he brought up the subject again. Next, I actually looked at the videos. From there I went to studying her and oh, my, she is a habitual accuser. Only after all this (up to this point had really only read stuff that influenced me to believe her and actually used the same approach as you saying, “If so many of these people are siding with her I don’t really need to look into this,”) did I then go watch and listen to Kasich and Cruz talk about it. I was surprised and am embarrassed that somewhere along the way I quit breing discerning. Now, I feel foolish I was willingly duped. Especially since I ignored all the people who are saying the opposite of the people you listed; people with some pretty good credentials and more than mere tv personalities.

About listening to the other candidates and the Republican elites — I was sick to my stomach listening to Cruz because it can be concluded he knows exactly the same stuff. He knows this was a set up. He knows this is a lie. And yet, . . . well, watch his response for yourself. The reason I got sick to my stomach is because it is unnerving to have reality be completely ignored and people keep responding to some alternative reality. After awhile, it is sort of difficult to sort the two. And then all the media is talking like the non-reality IS reality and it is like, “But that is not what I heard or saw….or is it?” It has been a disappointment to learn who is “the power” behind some of these guys and even behind Breitbart.

Even after studying, watching countless videos, reading transcripts, etc., I still am confronted with “something new” on occasion. For example, today I saw the pic up thread that I have seen waaaaay too many times and noticed for the first time Ben Terris and Corey appearing to be talking to each other and now I have more questions. Was this before Corey “touched” Fields? Was it something Terris said that made him push ahead and get to her? These two questions will have me going down all sorts of rabbit holes, I suppose. And, what was in Field’s hand anyway? I really don’t think it was lipstick or a pen as the Daily Mail suggested. I believe Trump has more video not being shown because of some references he made during the presser in airplane to some expressions these vids do not display.

            • All this he said/she said stuff gets really exhausting after a while. It seems like the facts should not be so difficult to pin down, when we’re talking about something that either happened or didn’t happen in a well-lit, crowded venue with loads of eyewitnesses, security cameras, etc.

I knew almost nothing about Michelle Fields before this whole brouhaha began — I’d seen her a couple of times on PJTV, before she moved to Breitbart, and that was the extent of it. If she’s really as bad as her detractors say she is, then I probably wouldn’t feel inclined to defend her… but not knowing anything about her, I was (and still am) uncomfortable with the way she has been and continues to be trashed by so many people — many of whom probably know as little about her as I do, but are just jumping on the bandwagon for reasons known best to themselves. Truth has ceased to be much of a consideration for a whole lot of people in this campaign season. Maybe it’s always been that way and I’m just getting around to noticing it.

Also, Grunt can hate NR all he wants, but there are a few writers there whom I really like and respect, David French being one of them — he is almost always right about almost everything.

              Liked by 2 people

              • I’ve always liked NR, but for the last year have disliked their direction. They still have good writers. David French is very persuasive, and honestly, I shouldn’t be so hard on him. He doesn’t exaggerate any more than I do. Less, probably.

                Liked by 1 person

                • NR is a mixed bag, just like every other site I frequent — Patriot Post, Human Events, Townhall, Takimag — there are a few intelligent writers at each, plus a bunch more that I can get along just fine without, and a few that suck. I pick and choose rather carefully which ones I read and trust.

Unfortunately, for the last couple of weeks I have been very limited in what media I can use, for reasons that would take way too long to explain. I am almost completely cut off from my usual news source, which is radio, and even my favorite podcasts — Andrew Klavan, Scott Ott, Steven Crowder, Trifecta — I can listen to only on extremely low volume (not good for someone like me with poor hearing). It’s frustrating, but it’s going to be this way for a while. I’m limited mostly to what I can read.

I did listen (on very low volume) to Steven Crowder today, talking with Ben Shapiro once again about the infamous Michelle Fields kerfuffle, which only confirmed my earlier prejudice. If anyone whose mind is not yet nailed shut would like to hear the episode (it’s #68), it’s available on YouTube. The relevant portion begins at about 28:00.

I love Crowder, and I used to respect Ben, but that was just two dudes “bloviating” (to use their word) about how stupid Trump is. That part may be true, but it’s not what I consider to be a convincing forensic argument. I have now checked out two of your links. I’m trying not to leave my mind “nailed shut.” But I think we’ve reached an impasse here.

                    Like

                    • Think whatever you want to think. I will only say the following:

                      1. When two parties are at odds over something and it’s obvious that one of them must be lying, I am more inclined to believe the one who has kept her story the same throughout the dispute than the one who keeps changing his story all the time.

                      2. Since I don’t know either Michelle or Corey, I am not qualified to judge which is the more trustworthy. However, Ben Shapiro knows Michelle personally and obviously considers her honest and credible; meanwhile, Corey has chosen to align himself with a man who is a serial abuser of women and who encourages his followers to rough people up and even offers to pay their legal bills if they commit assault and battery on his behalf.

                      3. I don’t know how intelligent Michelle is; she might be as dumb as her detractors claim she is. However, even a dumb broad knows that telling a lie — especially a lie that can be easily disproven — when you have absolutely nothing to gain and potentially a great deal to lose by doing so is an extremely stupid move.

                      4. If Michelle were lying about what happened, and there is plenty of evidence that she lied (as the trumpenproletariat claims), then why in heaven’s name does Trump feel the need to lie about her (e.g., saying that Breitbart fired her) and why do he and his minions feel the need to continue trashing her in the most sickening and misogynist fashion? What is the point? Do they just enjoy being nasty?

I could go on, but I won’t. Sorry to have wasted your time with my links; I’ll refrain from posting any more.

  10. Well, I DO understand that frustration. I’ve been feeling it a lot, myself, lately. I certainly don’t hold it against you, especially in this very incendiary case, where everyone is going nuts over it, myself included.

You’re right that I would not tolerate my wife to be manhandled by anyone, and I get that Crowder & Shapiro were making that point, as well. But would you accept that we might be working from very different assumptions here? For example, I reject your first principle, stated above, that someone must be lying. Nobody can lie about an event THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN. Even a married couple stating perceptions about an argument they had weeks ago is liable to be filled with exaggerations. But it’s almost always the case that NOBODY IS LYING. THEY ARE BOTH STILL PISSED. They can be forgiven for saying all kinds of things about the perceived slight. Yet we are locked in a shouting match about who lied more. *big eyeroll*

The very same thing is happening between the two sides arguing “what happened.” Nobody is being objective because they are using this as a venting exercise on how badly we all hate Trump. Show me an opinion on this, and I guarantee you it was predicated on the observer’s prior view on Trump.

Personally, I’m in a weird situation, like Hardnox, where I was a Cruz guy, but he’s disillusioning me, so I’m trying not to hate EITHER of them that much, because ONE of them has to defeat Hillary. So, I’m forced to look at what actually happened, which the video indicates was NOTHING. From a man’s point of view. From a little girl’s point of view, maybe some feelings were hurt. I don’t know. But I agree with my wife’s viewpoint on which one’s view we should take in this case.

Gruntessa points out that Fields was working in a professional capacity with a lot of men, in a traditionally man’s field. She was touching a candidate for POTUS under secret service protection. She cannot afford to be treated like “somebody’s wife,” here. To have any respect, she needs to expect to be manhandled like everybody else on that damn floor. Is it misogyny to say that she’s a disgrace to women professionals everywhere? Because that’s Gruntessa’s view. Call her and ask her if you like. You can also go over to Adrienne’s site and see several other women, like Zilla and Adrienne and Cass and several men, as well, say the same thing. Have you been over there yet?

    • I don’t deny that my intense dislike for Donald Trump is affecting my perception of the matter. I also don’t deny that, as someone who has been a victim of toxic misogyny, my reflexive response to seeing any woman victimized is to want to break the kneecaps of the perp. I’m not speaking here about Trump’s spokesthug grabbing her arm, but about the way she has been abused and vilified ever since the incident, in the media, on Twitter, Facebook, etc. There’s no excuse for it. Even if we assume for the sake of the argument that Michelle was making a big deal over something completely trivial — something she ought to have just shrugged off — there’s no excuse for it. It makes me ill.

      • I can understand that. And I have many times defended women against smears. AliRose comes to mind. But she never actually attacked anyone. She just got mob-lynched for somebody’s psycho suspicions.

I see Fields as a much different character. She has actually done the equivalent of yelling fire in a crowded theater. She’s accused the leading GOP candidate for POTUS of first degree War on Women. That’s a big deal, and an actual threat. They didn’t handle it well, but they saw it for the threat it was. She has also racked up a large list of “crying wolf” incidents, and I think that’s why you’re seeing these vicious comments. SHE MIGHT DESERVE THEM. Men are tired of being falsely accused of sexism and misogyny, and I plead guilty to that, as well. Trust me, EVERYBODY has a dog in this fight. You’ve been a victim. I’ve been a victim. We’ve all had friends who are victims. Her crying wolf here makes me ill, too. How do we decide who’s right and who’s wrong?

I’d prefer to judge the individual behaviors separately. And in my analysis, they all pretty much suck. Michelle is not excused because she’s a girl.
