An Italian television program “L’aria che tira” (“What’s Trending”) asked refugees what they thought about the Paris massacres.
- One Christian migrant from Africa said: “I am sorry, sorry for Paris. We are Christians. We don’t kill.”
- Multiple Muslim migrants seeking asylum in Italy said it is “good” to kill French people and warned of a looming December 8 Islamist attack on Rome.
December 8 is the Catholic Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Tomorrow, Pope Francis will be opening the Jubilee Year of Mercy during which Catholics will be encouraged to make a special effort to pray for, meditate about, and act on the fourteen Works of Mercy.
The Seven Corporal Works of Mercy: Feed the hungry; Give drink to the thirsty; Clothe the naked; Shelter the homeless; Visit the sick; Visit the imprisoned; Bury the dead.
The Seven Spiritual Works of Mercy: Admonish the sinner; Instruct the ignorant; Counsel the doubtful; Comfort the sorrowful; Bear wrongs patiently; Forgive all injuries; Pray for the living and the dead.
