Detroit is starting to shut off people’s water again
WATER IS THE ONLY UTILITY THAT THE PARASITES CAN’T GET A GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY FOR. THEY EXPECT THEIR LIVES TO BE ABSOLUTELY FREE.
According to the Detroit Free Press, 64,769 delinquent residential customers owe the city’s water department a combined $48.9 million.
That figure tops the estimated 41,000 individuals who Food and Water Watch (FWW), an advocacy group, says lacked any water as of January (there is likely overlap between the groups).
The city started sending out shut-off warnings May 11. According to the Free Press, Mayor Mike Duggan is proceeding with the shutoff orders over the wishes of city council members, who voted on May 12 to freeze the shutoff until an assistance plan to help affected residents was enacted.
FWW’s Lynna Kaucheck says Duggan tried implementing one last year that gave discounts to qualified residents, but that program proved too expensive for most residents.

High School Broadcasts “Sh*t White People Say” During Morning Announcements
Bedford High School believes it is acceptable to denigrate white people during morning announcements.
After students played a video promoting racial stereotypes during the morning announcements, school administrators are dismissing it as a “teachable moment.”
A group of students at Bedford High School who produce “BHS Live” created a video called “Sh*t White People Say,” which played off racial stereotypes allegedly held by their white peers.
It featured a black girl wearing a blonde wig, several school employees and a number of minority students.
It warns white students to “DO NOT ASSume” things about their black classmates.
“I’m very offended by what I saw,” parent Bob Marshall tells Fox 25. “It was a very disgusting video, very hurtful video.”

Restaurant Trend: Waiters Tips to Pay for Minimum Wage Hike

Sacramento restaurants solved the problem of increased labor costs inflicted on them from California’s rising minimum wage by taking a portion of the waiters tips.
Expect this trend to continue throughout California as the minimum wage gradually increases statewide. In Los Angeles minimum wage ascends to $15 an hour in January 2020.
Already in San Francisco and Seattle many restaurants are going tip free. Instead an additional surcharge is being added to the bill from which restaurants take a portion and pay a portion to the food server.

My boss at my first real job (45 years ago) justified paying us peanuts on the grounds that we got tips, even though the tips ranged from pathetic to nonexistent. And those of us who waited on the customers had to share our tips, pitiful as they were, with the employees who worked behind the scenes, who were also being paid peanuts. Even so, whenever the boss got ticked off at us for anything (which was often), he would always threaten that if we didn’t shape up, he would begin confiscating all of our tips. If he had done so, he might have gotten enough to buy his wife supper at McDonald’s, provided she ordered off the children’s menu.

On May 24, an Orange, Texas couple named Riley and Emily Portie were riding their motorcycle when they were struck by a drunk driver. The parents of five died at the scene.
Officer Eric Ellison of the Orange Police Department responded to the scene of the crash, and was tasked with breaking the news to the couple’s next of kin.
When he arrived at the house, he found their youngest son Kazzie home alone.
Kazzie was set to graduate from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School less than a week later.

When Dearest was driving home from a family visit to his folks with our 10 yo, State Troopers pulled him over. One of them took our daughter away from our car and asked her name, his name, where they’d been, and where they were going. The other asked Dearest the same, then the officers compared the answers. Once they were certain our daughter was really safe, they sent them on their way.
My daughter said she felt so SAFE after this, knowing if she was abducted, cops would give her a chance to say so and not just let the man b.s. them. I wrote a thank you note to the head of the troopers and he wrote back that they’d had a lot of positive feedback since instituting this policy.
I would’ve thought it would be SOP by now, so was curious about the news report, which said nothing about removing or questioning the girl. But I suppose if she was very young or used to her mother putting her boyfriends ahead of her … or maybe the DA didn’t want her statement released, saving it for trial?

I read a book about the Clintons once. The pages and pages of people who knew something dirty about them and suddenly died, were murdered, or committed suicide before testifying was truly mind-boggling. One of the prosecutors said he’d only seen this pattern in mob cases.
