“One of the key principles of Catholic social thought is known as the principle of subsidiarity. This tenet holds that nothing should be done by a larger and more complex organization which can be done as well by a smaller and simpler organization. In other words, any activity which can be performed by a more decentralized entity should be. This principle is a bulwark of limited government and personal freedom. It conflicts with the passion for centralization and bureaucracy characteristic of the Welfare State.”
I had done almost an entire post when my computer crashed. When I recovered it,the whole thing had been wiped out. There went an hour of my life I’ll never get back.
It occurred to me that the Soros-funded war between the street apes and the police is coming about, like the final scene in Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes. It’s what Obama has been planning since before he stole his first election.
Anyway, I spent yesterday having lunch with my best friend, who has been in and out of the hospital while the doctors try to figure out the cause of his blackouts. So far all the tests have shown nothing. He wasn’t feeling too bad yesterday so we left the boat in the shed and just went to the local lake and fished off the pier. That we didn’t catch anything was of no import. We just spent a few hours talking about nothing in particular. We’ve been friends for 20 years, since his wife is DWs BFF (that’s how she and I got together in the first place.)
I had posted a couple of links to articles about Ms. Rawlings-Blake,so I’ll try to retrieve some of it.
Baltimore Mayor Spoke With Obama in Afternoon – Then Waited 5 Hours to Call in the National Guard
SOUNDS NORMAL FOR A DEMOCRAT ADMINISTRATION
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was asked why she waited hours to ask the governor to declare a state of emergency, while the governor himself hinted she should have come to him earlier.
“We were all in the command center in the second floor of the State House in constant communication, and we were trying to get in touch with the mayor for quite some time,” Gov. Larry Hogan told a Monday evening news conference. “She finally made that call, and we immediately took action.”
The National Guard was called in after 15 businesses were torched, dozens of arrests and over 15 police officers injured.
Rawlings-Blake says she’s thinking ‘long and hard’ about whether to run for U.S. Senate.
As she weighs a decision to run for U.S. Senate, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said Wednesday she’s considering whether she can serve Baltimore better in her current job or in Congress.
Rawlings-Blake, who is in her first full term, declined to say how soon she would decide whether to run for the seat that will be vacated by longtime Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski. Mikulski announced this week that she will retire at the end of her term after nearly half a century in public office.
Valerie Jarrett in ‘regular contact’ with Baltimore Mayor over handling the riots
Is Valerie Jarrett the mastermind behind the reported order to Baltimore cops to “stand down”? The mayor’s announced policy to allow a “space to destroy”? Did she counsel Mayor Rawlings Blake to avoid calling up the National Guard after Saturday’s disturbances? Did she urge the city to let the students gathering Monday after school remain uncontrolled as they looted a mall?
VALJAR, SRB, AND THE NEWLY-MINTED AG, LORETTA LYNCH (THE WHITE MAN) ARE HOMEGIRLS WHO ARE IN REGULAR CONTACT.
WHAT A BUNCH OF FRIGGIN’ GENIUSES. THIS IS HOW CANKLES PLANS TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY.
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY, THE BALTIMORE ORIOLES WILL PLAY AGAINST THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX IN AN EMPTY STADIUM WITHOUT ANY PAYING CUSTOMERS, DUE TO FEAR OF AN APE UPRISING.
“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.”
