Grandson RJ Pistol’s first baseball game, scheduled for Saturday morning, was postponed due to inclement weather. They played Sunday afternoon under a bright blue sky with the temperature hovering around 60, with a breeze that necessitated a jacket. As usual his cheering section included mom, dad, stepmom, grandpa,two grandmas, and older sister. He hit the ball hard several times and recorded an RBI groundout in the fifth inning. It was a beautiful day.

Eric Holder Takes $77 Million Job With JPMorgan Chase
Just after announcing his resignation as U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder has accepted a top job with Wall Street finance giant JPMorgan Chase.
Starting in early November, Holder will serve as JPMorgan Chase’s chief compliance officer, where his responsibilities will include lobbying Congress on the company’s behalf and ensuring it “gets the best deal possible” from any new proposed financial regulations. Holder will also fetch morning coffee and breakfast orders for CEO Jamie Dimon and board members.
For his efforts, Holder will earn an annual salary of $77 million plus bonuses for a job well done.

Obama Sends Three WH Officials to Freddie Gray’s Funeral – Sent No One to Chris Kyle’s Funeral
The White House says the head of President Obama’s initiative for minority males will attend the funeral of a Baltimore man who died after sustaining serious injuries while in police custody.
Broderick Johnson, the chairman of the My Brother’s Keeper Task Force, will represent the administration at Monday’s funeral for Freddie Gray. Johnson is also the Cabinet secretary.
Gray is the 25-year-old black man who died a week after an encounter with Baltimore police left him with grave spinal injuries. He is being buried Monday in Baltimore.
The White House said Sunday night that Johnson, a Baltimore native, will be accompanied by two other officials.

2 things sent me over the edge this weekend. I was reading somewhere, maybe here, I have no idea where, that Congress has issued some kind of proclamation or whatever they want to call it, that they are a small business with 49 or less employees, and therefore the Congressional staff is eligible for, and collects, Obamacare subsidies on the exchange. Are youkidding me? We know for a fact that there are a minimum of 535 employees there, and we pay them!
the second thing – I am going to find a link and post it next – is about Rep. Tom Massie from Kentucky. He makes what he calls the 500 yard dash from his office to the floor of the House to make the votes. When you read about the BS that Boehner has been pulling to get things passed with next to nobody on the floor, you will want to burn down the whole thing. Also, Massie is one of the guys who opposed Boehner as the Speaker. He, along with Dave Brat, is being punished big time for that, when it comes to fund raising. He was elected in 2012. By this time in 2103 he had $54,000 in campaign donations from business groups and PACs. This year, after opposing Boehner, he has $1,000.
