Thanks to Chrissy about her newest post regarding Dana Perino’s new book. W wasn’t perfect by any means. He often infuriated us when he didn’t defend himself against the 24/7 personal assaults launched against him because they didn’t manage to steal Florida in 2000. But there was never a doubt he loved the troops and they would walk through hell for him. I think the difference in attitude between somebody like the Bush presidents and Klintoon (Mogadishu) and Bam (Benghazi) is that some value life and know there are things worth fighting for. That’s why they both wore the uniform. On the other hand, you have two sociopaths who care about absolutely nothing beyond their own self interests.

The parents of Michael Brown have filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the city of Ferguson over the fatal shooting of their son by a white police officer.
Brown’s death last summer put a national spotlight on the often-contentious relationship between young black men and police.
Attorneys for Brown’s parents, Lesley McSpadden and Michael Brown Sr., filed the lawsuit Thursday.

Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.
Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.

Clinton Charities Will Refile Tax Returns, Audit for Other Errors

Hillary Clinton’s family’s charities are refiling at least five annual tax returns after a Reuters review found errors in how they reported donations from governments, and said they may audit other Clinton Foundation returns in case of other errors.
The foundation and its list of donors have been under intense scrutiny in recent weeks. Republican critics say the foundation makes Clinton, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016, vulnerable to undue influence. Her campaign team calls these claims “absurd conspiracy theories.”

Obama Lawyer Dodges Alien ‘Voting Rights’ Hypothetical – Multiple Times
Every seat in the courtroom was taken, and the court fed an audio of the arguments into two additional courtrooms, while pro-administration supporters protested outside the federal courthouse in New Orleans. Oral arguments before the 5th Circuit normally take 40 minutes, but the arguments on Friday lasted for two-and-a-half hours.
Mizer said there were “good reasons to grant” such permits because it would allow an individual with a work permit “to work on the books rather than off the books.” Since it is a “third-party crime” for an employer to employ an illegal alien, providing the work permits “is actually reducing crime by reducing the third-party crime.”
In other words, rather than enforcing federal immigration law that prohibits employers from employing any noncitizen who doesn’t have a work permit, it is better for the government (without authority) to issue work permits to illegal aliens so employers won’t break the law the administration doesn’t want to enforce. The government has to break the law so employers won’t have to.
That is an example of the twisted logic being used by the Justice Department to defend this case.

Grunt, I feel ya, but I wish SOMEONE had the stones to stand up and be counted. It was a wonderful opportunity for the intelligent Downey to turn the tables on the interviewer, a la is it okay to abort a live birth, or give billions to ISIS, or bomb civilians in Afghanistan, or any of about a million conservative “gotcha” questions. Eastwood ridiculed the Prez on national TV and his directing career’s never been better.

I agree. Downey could have done better. But it’s hard to blame him when even James Woods, who is much more senior and settled, waited until after his last Hollywood project to start openly taking on the Left like you propose. His livelihood literally depends on his diplomacy at this point, so I’d prefer to cut him a break. But yes, it would be nice. But you know what would be even BETTER?? If the guys we elect in the US Friggin’ Senate, as Republicans, would actually have the nads to do the friggin’ job we friggin’ elected them to do. That REALLY has me steamed. I’d LOVE to throw stones at THEM.
