Chrissy, when you pull it all together with graphs and photos and irrefutable proof … well, all I can say is I’m glad you’re on our side! That’s the main reason this is one of my primary go-to sites, your kick-ass take-no-prisoners approach (the only one who sometimes comes close, in my opinion, is Doug Ross). Kudos.

Chrissy, I know the individual rates (off the exchange i.e. without the subsides) really increased dramatically here in VA, but I would think that in NY it would not be too bad – maybe even a savings. NY was already for all intents and purposes a guaranteed issue state, so the premiums prior to Obamacare in NY were several factors higher there than here for comparable coverage. So maybe your fellow NYers think all is well with Obamacare.

Unless, like us, they couldn’t afford insurance before and still can’t, but now are being penalized for it!

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that darn “tax”. Sorry…..

We can barely afford it here. I have a high-deductible policy that only covers me and my 19-year-old daughter (since my husband is on Medicare) and it costs more six hundred dollars a month. I’m about to chuck it.
