Chrissy uses graphics and bold,multi-colored script when I cannot and neatly lists her sources. What she doesn’t have,as a solid Christian woman, is the propensity to use artfully colorful verbiage to convey one’s true feelings. I suffer no such compunction.
On a strict party line 3-2 vote the democrats,led by Obama’s personal,hand-picked bitch,Tom Wheeler stomped on the accelerator and crashed a free and open internet into the brick wall of government regulators answerable to no one. We all knew after Barry stole his reelection things would be bad. As cynical as I am even I underestimated the savage brutality he would unleash on the nation that gave him everything.

The three defectors: Jeff Flake and Lindsey Graham, both members of the Senate’s Gang of Eight on immigration, and Orrin Hatch, who sold himself as Mr. Conservative to Utah tea partiers in 2012 in order to avoid being primaried.
Her nomination is a foregone conclusion,given the support of these three losers,along with the likes of McAmnesty,Collins and Kirk,to name a few. They all exhorted us to give them the majority in the Senate,apparently since committee heads make more money. That’s the only appreciable difference.

Obama’s internet power grab

It’s happening again.

Despite record low trust in government, the epic failure of Obamacare, an IRS targeting scandal, the targeting of journalists at the AP and Fox News, NSA overreach, and Washington DC dysfunctionality at near historic levels, the government will change the Internet forever starting tomorrow when it releases its plan to regulate what was once a free and open Internet.

If you believe that this plan, which is deceptively called ‪#‎NetNeutrality‬, is in any way “neutral” or fair, I encourage you to use a search engine (which is still free, no thanks to government) to search the phrase “broken government promises.” This plan is an adventure in crony-capitalism disguised, and creatively marketed, as a “David vs.Goliath” fight against ISPs just like Obamacare was supposed to be a fight against health insurance companies. What they’re not telling you is that the companies fighting for “Net Neutrality” have an enormous financial interest in its implementation, just as some health insurance industry and pharmaceutical industry supporters backed Obamacare.

Eventually the government, as it typically does, turned on the doctors, health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies and left them holding the bag, just like it will turn on the companies fighting for Net Neutrality. Jonathan Gruber’s videos explain how this was the Obama administration’s plan the entire time; lie to the people, get their vote and support, screw them over, and then get them to blame anyone other than government.

Internet taxes, a licensing requirement for websites, and the heavy foot of government on the face of the Internet is inevitable if Net Neutrality is allowed to stand.  And, to all of those “government knows what’s best for me” types who claim this is a good idea remember, you are as responsible as they are for opening the door and letting them in. They will never leave your house once that door has been opened.

Right after I wrote the above, I saw this in my email from Mozilla:

Keystone and Obama’s priorities

Rep. Tom Reed (R-NY) posted this on his Facebook:

A majority of Americans and a bipartisan majority of Congress agreed that the Keystone pipeline will create jobs and improve our energy security. It is disappointing yet predictable that President Obama has again put his extreme liberal agenda ahead of good policy.

The administration says that Congress rushed their decision passing legislation to approve the pipeline. It has been 2,340 days since the administration began their environmental review. In the meantime Apple has developed and released five new iPhones, Lebron James has gone from Cleveland to win two championships in Miami then returned to Cleveland, and the San Francisco Giants have won the World Series three times.

What we do know is that the Keystone pipeline would create more than 40,000 jobs and contribute to our energy security. After six years it is time to make a decision.

As always, actions speak louder than words, and despite rhetoric from President Obama on bipartisanship and compromise, his actions show that the liberal special interests of environmental extremists are his priority, not creating jobs or protecting our energy security.

IT WAS TWENTY YEARS AGO TODAY

I stood before the pastor,our best friends and Almighty God and swore to my beloved child bride to love,honor,obey,and be a monumental pain in the ass for the rest of my natural life. During the course of our lifetimes we have had many acquaintances,friends and in most cases,some lovers. It took 45 years and three bad marriages to find my best friend forever. In all our years we’ve never had what you would call a really serious fight. Neither of us are wired that way. We’d both been around long enough to know the realities of marriage and knew when something was broke you fixed it,not just throw it away.

She has a daughter and son who were teenagers when we married and I look at them as my own. Her daughter (Isabel and Olivia’s mom) bonded instantly. Her son took some time and effort. He was never used to having another male in the house and he had to learn that the old bull still had enough powder in his horn to rule the roost (mixed metaphors…it’s what I do). Eventually we made peace and now I call him the son I never had.

Some people get lucky and find the right one early in life. Some don’t until their later years and some never find a true life partner ever. We’ve had some money in the bank and we’ve been down to less than nothing. We always made it somehow,I suspect,because we had each other,our family and our faith to see things through. My time on earth is growing short but I will spend whatever is left of my life with the bestest buddy I could ever find.

This word is commonly misspelled sacrelige, I believed from a mistaken assumption that its roots are “sac” [a bag or pouch] and “religious” [belief in a religion]. Pointy white hoods come to mind and a case could be made that Kluxers committed a good deal of sacrilege, but I digress.

The correct root of sacrilege is sacri- [sacrum = sacred] and “legere” [take possession of].

Farrakhan vs. Giuliani

Sunday, Feb 22, 2015 at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago during his annual Saviours’ Day speech, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan attacked former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for his controversial opinion that President Obama doesn’t love America.

Farrakhan said, “How did you grow up, Giuliani? A privileged cracker? Or I should say, a privileged devil.”

Cracker? Devil? Really? In church? On a Sunday?  Plus, can anyone explain to me why this man, who HATES America, should have some problem with someone else saying that maybe his bff in the White House might not love America?  I mean … seriously?!

Does anyone else remember when the press made a big honkin’ deal about a prayer Sarah Palin offered at her church for our troops in harm’s way? Cuz yeah … THAT was really terrible. :oP

Does anyone care to take some action on how soon members of the MSM who have nagged Republicans for comments about Giuliani’s remark will nag Democrats for comments about Farrakhan’s remark!?  Cuz if you do, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END

It will take place Thursday without much fanfare in the media. It will signal the Chosen One’s greatest usurpation of power since Obamacare. The FCC is set to vote on new ‘net neutrality’ rules which will make broadband more expensive,far slower and the point of the whole thing is to impose regulations to restrict the free speech rights of ordinary citizens. You can’t say the bastard didn’t have a plan to completely dismantle our liberties. For a long time the FCC had four members,two democrats and two republicans and not much happened. Then,if memory serves,he used one of his infamous recess appointments to install his personal stooge to tip the balance to do his bidding. He’s seized healthcare,will push amnesty through,is handing Iran nuclear weapons capability,is bent on sacrificing Israel for the ambitions of his muslim brothers and he’s about to make sure dissent of the government is stifled. This blog has been a big part of my life for a very long time. I don’t have much time left and at this point the future is in somebody else’s hands. There’s nothing we can do about it.

Republican FCC Commissioners Ask Wheeler To Delay Net Neutrality Vote, Release Proposal

Three days before the Federal Communications Commission is scheduled to vote on the most significant Internet regulations in history, two commissioners are asking Chairman Tom Wheeler to delay the vote and release his proposal to the public.

Obama’s regs will make Internet slow as in Europe, warn FCC, FEC commissioners

“These Internet regulations will deter broadband deployment, depress network investment and slow broadband speeds. How do we know? Compare Europe, which has long had utility-style regulations, with the United States, which has embraced a light-touch regulatory model. Broadband speeds in the United States, both wired and wireless, are significantly faster than those in Europe. Broadband investment in the United States is several multiples that of Europe. And broadband’s reach is much wider in the United States, despite its much lower population density,” the two wrote.

They also joined to warn about the Democrat-chaired Federal Election Commission eyeing regulation of political speech on the Internet.

Andrew Klavan on ISIS and Truth

ISIS and the Missing Christ by Andrew Klavan – February 22, 2015

Like everyone else who cares more about the facts than his own opinions, I’ve recently read Graeme Wood’s excellent Atlantic article “What Isis Really Wants.” [http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2015/02/what-isis-really-wants/384980/] Those of you making do with excerpts and pull quotes, stop, and go read the whole thing. That it renders the president’s statements about ISIS absurd is the least of the article’s accomplishments. No one but a small coterie of leftist knuckleheads believes what Obama says on this subject anyway — though it’s unfortunate that the president himself is part of that coterie.

Among the many things in the piece that inspire thought is Wood’s reflection on the attractions of the ISIS ideology. The mass executions, the crucifixions, the enslavements, the oppressive religiosity and the war cry to a worldly disaster that will initiate the apocalypse — they are all drawing believers to the Islamic State from around the world. Wood himself felt the attraction, he says, while talking to ISIS supporters. He ends the article by quoting Orwell on the allure of Nazism:

Whereas Socialism, and even capitalism in a more grudging way, have said to people “I offer you a good time,” Hitler has said to them, “I offer you struggle, danger, and death,” and as a result a whole nation flings itself at his feet. … We ought not to underrate its emotional appeal.

We really ought not. Nor should we underestimate the need to offer young people especially something in its place. As much as I believe in capitalism as a method of economic development, a capitalist life is empty without spiritual content. Indeed, as much as I believe in individual freedom as the only worthwhile goal of any political system, individual freedom too is empty without spiritual content.

It is in that emptiness that militant Islam grows like the cancer it is.

Battered by the religious wars of the Reformation, making adjustments to a global economy and multi-cultured nations, the West has slowly become diffident in defense of its central faith. And there is some wisdom in that. Christianity is a religion, to paraphrase St. Paul, that frees us for freedom, and faith in Christ must be chosen freely to be fully realized. But to move from that position — which calls for intellectual rigor, unfettered debate and honest proselytism — to indiscriminate acceptance of all creeds as equally worthwhile is an error that does the world more harm than good.

Whenever I hear someone announce that “All religions are a path to God!” I wonder how it would work if you applied such “tolerance” to, say, medicine or science. “All medicines are a path to health! You take antibiotics, I cut the head off a chicken and dance under the full moon, really what’s the difference as long as we both believe it will make us well?” Or “All science is a path to progress! You invent an iPhone, I invent a weaponized disease, it’s all science, man, it’s all great!”

When you put it this way, it becomes clear that the idea that all religions are equally worthwhile is essentially an atheist creed. To say All religions are a path to God is really saying, No religion is a path to God. There is no God, so what difference does your religion make? When something is true, when it is factual, when it is real, it excludes other options. The world can’t be both flat and round. When you accept the roundness of it, you can no longer entertain its flatness. It’s one or the other.

If God is the Christian God of love, he is not the Allah of Isis.

The objection to this approach to religion — the generalization that says “religion” is responsible for the wars and atrocities committed in religion’s name — is absurd. People murder each other in the name of love, too, but that doesn’t mean love is murderous; it simply means there are wrong and right ways to love. There are wrong and right ways to worship too, and keeping silent about the right ways only lends credence to the wrong.

If there is a God — and, spoiler alert, there is — then like everything else that exists, there are things that are true about Him and things that are false. We who have voices better start telling the Truth without fear. Otherwise, our silence, and the emptiness that silence creates, will leave all the world to the likes of ISIS and their god — who is not God at all, by the way, but another fellow entirely.
