You lost my respect with this piece.
The de Blasio quotation was used totally OUT OF CONTEXT. He was not commenting on the Project Veritas Sharpton video, but about a story the NY Post did about an NYPD program. “The Post reported that a high-ranking source claimed the ‘new regimen has been a bitter failure’.”

Are you referring to the Pundit Press article I linked to? Checking it now, it opens with “Al Sharpton, the widow of Eric Garner and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio have all responded…” but there’s no other mention of deBlasio in the article. I don’t recall if it had anything different earlier. Was there something not there that was there before? (And no comments that my browser could see.) Or did you mean another article?

The author didn’t post my comment, but did rewrite the article without noting that he had done so. And he STILL got it wrong. I posted this, which no doubt will also end up in his blog trash.

So you rewrote the article to respond to my criticism, removed your source link and still got it wrong. I can find no evidence that de Blasio has said boo about the Project Veritas Sharpton Shakedown exposé. The CBS Local story made a very lame segue from “The New York Post reported on the exposé and Sharpton is mad about it” to “de Blasio criticized the New York Post about something else entirely” to “James O’Keefe is from this area.” Sadly, you read the article as carelessly as they wrote it.

Reading your earlier message to them, I thought, wow, that’s kind-of harsh. Could have given them the benefit of the doubt for just making a mistake. Not owning up honestly to error and criticism and post-facto edits, though? Let ’em have it.

Nope, didn’t think to do a screencap. I dunno if the author really was just as sloppy in his initial reading as the NY Post was in its reportage, but he clearly went back and looked again and STILL got it wrong, so screw him.
