While marchers mourned 42 years of legalized abortion, many sounded a hopeful theme for a pro-life future and think the decision will eventually be reversed.
Unfortunately,you could rally tens of millions of people, but it only takes one idealogue wearing a black robe to negate the whole effort.

Much of the talk today at the annual March for Life, that likely brought close to 500,000 mostly young people to Washington DC, was about how House leaders canned a bill that would have banned abortion after the 20th week of gestation, the point at which an unborn child is said to feel pain.
Much of the anger was directed at Republican Congresswoman Renee Ellmers of North Carolina, who, as reported by Breitbart News, organized a group of female House members to block the vote on a bill that leadership had promised to pro-lifers.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia Dead at 90
King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the powerful U.S. ally who joined Washington’s fight against Al Qaeda and sought to modernize the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom has died at 90, according to Saudi state TV.
His expected successor is his 79-year-old half-brother, Prince Salman, who recently has taken on the ailing Abdullah’s responsibilities.
Prince Salman has been diagnosed with dementia.There’s not a dime’s bit of difference between ISIS and Saudi as far as public executions,repression of women,etc.

Remembering an incident of excellent parenting I saw in a deli once. A little girl threw a monster tantrum, complete with shrieking and rolling around on the floor while pounding fists and stomping heels as mom calmly sat at her table and ate her bagel. Deli guy came out to ask the mother if the girl was okay and mom said, “She wanted cream cheese. I ordered butter.” And that was that. Brat ended up with a headache, snotty face, no bagel and a very valuable lesson.

Smart mom! I used to babysit for a little girl who had tantrums all the time, because she’d been conditioned to think that if she had a tantrum, she’d get whatever she wanted. Eventually she learned that tantrums don’t work on everyone.

Walker allegedly ran from police who confronted him outside the Old Agency Baptist Church.
The incident was captured on video — McMillin is one of the 50-60 MPD officers wearing body cameras — and it provided the city with its first open records test since officers began wearing the cameras.
The video shows McMillin firing five shots at Walker after Walker stopped running and bent down to pick up an item he dropped. He’s briefly turned toward the officer, who then fires his weapon. The shooting appears to be a split-second decision — in regular speed it’s hard to tell if Walker was ever facing the officer, but when slowed down, Walker appears to turn toward McMillin, with the object in his hand pointed at him.
The taxpayers of Oklahoma won’t have to feed and house this former trash.I love a happy ending.

These scraps of parchment include fragments of what they think is the oldest known copy of Mark; I doubt there will be a whole lot of revision of theology (heh), since “oldest” only pushes it back about ten years, to 90AD, but as an armchair scriptural archaeologist I am always excited by such discoveries. Hope when they publish their findings I run across the info.
