Most of you are,I’m sure, fully prepared for the big day Thursday. If you are visiting for the holiday there is little reason for concern. If you are hosting, make your list, check it thrice. It seems every year DW has cooked for the family she gets up that morning and realizes she forgot something. The market was packed yesterday afternoon and will get worse by Wednesday as people rush for last minute staples. Bloodshed over the last bunch of collard greens or the last can of cranberry sauce are a common occurrence. Hint: waiting until Wednesday to buy a frozen turkey to make for Thanksgiving is not a particularly good idea. Marshmallows for the candied yams? Sage for the dressing? Whipped topping for the pie? Your family would readily forgive you if everything isn’t perfect, but a hostess can sometimes be too critical of herself. Plan ahead, enjoy the time with those you love and be thankful it will be another year before you have to go through it again.
