SUNDAY EXTRAVAGANZA

DW came in a little while ago and said: ‘I need to pick up some things at WalMart.’
Translation: ‘Shut that stupid computer down and get you fat butt up and take me to WalMart.’
It’s not all bad, though. I enjoy playing dodgecart on my Amigo scooter with all the pedestrians. Not realizing it,we sojourned forth a day after the EBT cards were loaded for all the Obama voters. I have a handicap placard, which makes me no different than thousands of others who vie for the coveted spots within sight of the entrance. There were hordes of minority types with carts heaped full, including a family of moose-limbs that had one cart overflowing with 20 oz. bottles of Pepsi, another full of Mountain Dew and one full of cereal, mostly Fruit Loops. I don’t even want to think about what they were doing.

Interestingly there haven’t been the flood of campaign videos this cycle as there is during a presidential election. I don’t recall seeing anything from Rove’s Crossroads group. There were a few today. Since I don’t watch the Sunday gabfests,I’ll have to post anything later on. Rand Paul was supposed to be on three different shows. There’s just something about him that doesn’t sit right with me. One has to be suspect of ANY republican the media whores openly embrace.
With much chagrin I noticed yesterday the Christmas ads are descending like a plague already. The Hallmark channel has the 55 days of Christmas, apparently. Right now ‘A Dog Named Christmas’ is on. It is nearing time for some NFL football,so I’ll get a modicum of relief. Hope you like what I have today.

Election countdown to lead Sunday shows

Talk of Tuesday’s midterm elections will dominate the Sunday political talk shows as candidates gear up for their final round of campaigning.

Appearing to spar on the election’s likely outcome, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus will join Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on ABC’s “This Week.”

On Charlie Rose Show: ‘The Year After He’s Out People Are Going to Miss Obama’

Ever wonder what a typical cocktail party conversation among liberal elites on the upper East Side sounds like? Probably a lot like the conversation Charlie Rose had, on Thursday, with Moneyball author and former New Republic editor Michael Lewis when he offered excuses for Barack Obama’s unpopularity.

When Rose asked the current Bloomberg View columnist why Obama had become “such a liability” to the Democratic Party in this 2014 election cycle, Lewis responded that it was “unfair” and then predicted: “I think history is going to be very kind to him…the year after he’s out people are going to miss him.”

Dems turn to Clintons, not Obama

You don’t have many options when your party is morally bankrupt.
The Clintons have crisscrossed the country in recent weeks for Democratic candidates, and will each appear in key states this weekend where races could decide which party controls the upper chamber.

While Obama has been mostly sidelined — he’ll appear at a Michigan rally on Saturday where Democrats believe a Senate seat is safely in hand — the Clintons are traveling to red states where the president is not welcome.

Michelle Obama to Moline Crowd: “ILLINOIS Is Leading the Nation in Job Creation”

Michelle Obama campaigned at Wharton Field House in Moline, Illinois on Saturday. The First Lady said she was thrilled to be back in Illinois.

She also told the crowd that Illinois is leading the nation in job creation.
    Which is a complete lie.

She continually advocated for all three candidates, Quinn, Durbin and Bustos. Obama said 10 million new jobs have been created in Illinois in recent years.

“And we are here to keep this state in the right direction,” she said to thunderous applause. “And this state is leading the nation in job creation.”

Illinois is ranked number 42 out of the 50 states in job creation since 2009 when Obama took over.

Truth is such an annoying detail.

It’s pretty safe to say the sheeple don’t know how to look up real statistics and the presstitutes won’t call her out on it. I heard a sheeple call a radio talk show host once about economic statistics the host had cited.

Mind you, these had come from a government web site, like the Bureau of Labor Statistics or something similar. The caller said in an ominous tone, “You’re getting that information from some dark place.” !!

Dem Sen. Mark Begich Claims He Never Attacked the Late Sen. Ted Stevens in his 2008 Senate Campaign; The Evidence Says He Did – Video 10/31/14

Here is video of Dem Sen. Mark Begich in a debate this week where he was confronted by Republican Dan Sullivan over his attacks against the late Sen. Ted Stevens in 2008. Begich claims he never attacked the late Sen. Ted Stevens over allegations of wrongdoing back in their 2008 race. Begich defeated Stevens. A Judge later threw out the convictions of Stevens. As you’ll see in the video, Begich absolutely did run an ad that went after Stevens over those allegations. He knows he did, but he sat right there in that debate and claimed he did not.

RCP Moves Virginia Senate Race Out of ‘Likely Dem’ Column

Ed Gillespie continues to close the gap on Mark Warner in the Virginia Senate race, causing Real Clear Politics to move the race from “Likely Dem” to “Leans Dem.” Virginia is currently the only Senate race in that category, which suggests it’s the GOP’s best chance to stage a substantial upset on election night.
Pollsters always predict races tightening in the closing days of an election. Its how they hedge their bets. Most times it’s just hype.I don’t really expect Ed to come very close.

Bill Clinton plugs Kay Hagan in N.C.

I saw that headline and did a double-take.
Politico really, really needs a competent proofreader.
Cripes, you’d think with all his money he could do a little better!
Calling the race between Hagan and Republican challenger Thom Tillis as the most crucial contest North Carolina has seen in a generation, Democrats warned the crowd with four days left to go that if they didn’t show up — and bring three other people with them, as Hagan challenged — Tillis would go to Washington with a Republican majority and push an “extremist” agenda similar to what Republicans, or the “wrecking crew,” pushed in the state legislature.

GOP up 104,000 in CO early voting
I’ll admit to being uneasy since in Grunt’s state every registered voter gets a paper ballot mailed to them. There is a high degree of fraud possible with the sloppy handling and no verification of signatures or proof of residence. But I’m hopeful.
Republicans are blowing out Democrats in Colorado early voting, the secretary of State there says. …

The AP said that 41 percent of the 1.1 million early ballots were from Republicans, with roughly a third coming from Democrats and a quarter from independent voters. Colorado’s voters are basically evenly split among the three groups.
The AP further noted that the GOP has had good penetration into traditionally Democratic demographics — even among younger voters:
When it comes to democrat demographics, good penetration is vital.
    Stop chuckling now.

Obama’s Extraordinary Damage to His Party

“How much damage is Barack Obama doing to the Democratic Party? According to the respected political analyst Stuart Rothenberg, the answer is quite a lot. According to Rothenberg, “President Barack Obama is about to do what no president has done in the past 50 years: Have two horrible, terrible, awful midterm elections in a row.”

Mr. Rothenberg compares Obama to the worst midterm numbers of two-term presidents going back to Harry Truman. He concludes that it’s likely that over the course of two midterm elections, Democrats will lose somewhere in the range of 68-75 House seats range and 11-15 Senate seats.

Legal teams brace for election battles

Rumors of planned voting fraud abound in the week leading up to it—Trading hamburgers for votes in Wisconsin’s gubernatorial race; poll watchers challenging the eligibility of every voter in Louisiana to cause huge lines; party operatives filling out and turning in mail ballots for dead voters in Colorado; misinformation intended to steer people to the wrong polling places in North Carolina and elsewhere.

While little, if any, tangible proof those misdeeds are underway has yet cropped up, both parties are preparing for all that and worse.

My prediction is any contest where the republican has a slight lead will be vigorously challenged by an army of dem lawyers. They will be granted recounts until a box of ballots is “found” in somebody’s car. This is standard procedure.

Brutal RGA Clip: Martha Coakley’s Finest Moments

Coakley is the Mass. dem that ran against Scott Brown in 2010 for the late Senator Swimmer’s seat.
It’s never a good idea for an indecisive candidate to ask an opponent during a live television debate his position on raising fees — and then when he pledges not to raise them — to turn around and profess “I’m not going to raise [them] either.” This is the very definition of “leading from behind.” And it doesn’t poll well.

This week, the man who once filled arenas like a rock star suffered the indignity of Wisconsin Democrats walking out on him as he stumped for another struggling Democrat, Mary Burke. Obama’s visit to Wisconsin coincided with the disappearance of Burke’s modest lead in statewide polls. She now trails her opponent, Scott Walker, by seven points.

Obama Always Pointing The Finger Of Blame At Someone Else

The Times reported that, despite Obama’s public efforts to calm fears over Ebola, he was privately seething at health aides’ bungling. In a bid to separate him from the incompetence of his administration, the leakers claimed Obama was “visibly angry” and “demanded a more hands-on approach” from his team.

We are witnessing the total collapse of a bad idea. Obamaism, a quasi-socialist commitment to a more powerful government at home and an abdication of American leadership around the world, is being exposed as a historic calamity. It is fueling domestic fear and global disorder and may well lead to a world war.

Obama is a failure. For all his narcissism, he didn’t make this mess alone.

He was aided and abetted by every Democrat in Congress. They marched in lockstep with his cockamamie policies, from ObamaCare to open borders. They protected corrupt leaders in numerous federal agencies, from the IRS to the Genera Services Administration. They stymied efforts to find the truth about Benghazi and the Fast and Furious gunrunning debacle.

They ceded their constitutional obligations and allowed Obama to crash the system of checks and balances. The vast majority stood silent while he gutted the military and abandoned our allies, including Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and courted Iran, the most menacing nation on earth.

With painfully few exceptions, Democrats put their loyalty to him above their duty to America.

And now they must be punished. All of them.
      Modal Trigger

Democrats needs to be removed from every possible federal office during the midterms as a punishment for the failed Obama presidency, according to Michael Goodwin.Photo: Getty Images

Normally, I am not a partisan advocate. I am a registered Democrat, though I vote as an independent.

Not this year. This is a national emergency and the only responsible action is to vote Republican for every federal office.

  22. Sam Walton is one of my heroes. Wal-Mart is a great American success story. I well remember the huge banner they used to display, “Everything Made in the U.S.A.” With what his heirs have done, I’m sure Sam’s spinning corpse could be wired for electrical generation. I did read somewhere that they’re doing some movement back to more “Made in the USA” items, but I don’t know how they can do that, since Clinton exported all our industries to China. And, boy! The quality of goods, the variety, is terrible compared to the old days.

Still, I don’t “hate” Wally Mall. Everyone makes cracks about the weirdos who shop there, but all I see at ours is my neighbors, which, admittedly, includes a lot of weirdos, but nothing you don’t see anywhere else, as a rule.

That said, we made the mistake of being there on EBT day, once. Since then, we’ve been pretty careful to avoid that ugly nightmare. Even the clerks are disgusted by the ravenous horde of freeloaders, if you can get them to talk about it. There they are, working the register hard all day, to check through so many bums! (Not slandering all welfare recipients, just decrying the slackers and bums.)
