FYI, Pete. If you want to repost an old image, you don’t need to reload it. You can do a search in the media library and reuse the one that is already there. I just checked out available storage space for PN graphics. We’ve used 46%.

Are you telling me you have a limit on how many pix one can have on a WordPress blog? That can’t be right. Even lowly mindfulwebworks.com has unlimited storage with the ISP. Anyway, old pages w/o pix are disappointing.

Some time back I contacted the founder of this blog to ask about storage space.I was told it was like 3MB,and that it was enough for a couple years.At that time almost half was used up.I felt guilty taking up so much room,since I could only post images in the header.I did not want to mess things up for everybody since CtH and Bluebird can do so much more with their skills.I can’t for the life of me think of anything I ever posted that was worth copying anyway.

Well, that’s a shame. I’m big on preserving everything (said the man whose earliest webpages are stored on some antiquated storage method). Kind-of a shame your (Pete & all) hard work isn’t allowed to stand. And Chrissy, Webshots sure did you a disservice.
I’m curious, though. When I just leave an image link, as far as I can tell, it is a “hot” link. That is, if I reference a pic on my site, the file is not copied to WordPress, it just links to the file on my site, so outside-linked images should stand as long as they’re in the original locations.
Sorry, thinking out loud, trying to understand.

Any graphics I cross-posted from Webshots are gone, because Webshots was sold to someone who turned it into cloud storage. Any time you stumble on one that you want the graphics restored, let me know and I’ll search my archives for the original files.

Unfortunately, a lot of them did disappear when Webshots changed hands. I don’t understand how or why, but lots of older posts are missing the graphics, and they are nowhere to be found in the PN media library.

I seem to recall a time when we were maxxing out our allowed media storage here …. they upped it by a lot since then … but I didn’t understand how the media library worked and told somebody it was okay to delete my old graphics. That’s probably when they got purged. I’ll replace any you point out if I can find the originals.

There’s some other guy doing something like this, dunno his name, but I have seen 2 of his videos where he posted “Oh noes look at the liberal meany pants who wouldn’t talk to me!”
One was of him approaching Lois Lerner while she was walking her dogs, which was fine, but when she went to a neighbor’s house, he followed her on to private property and stayed really close to her.
The other was of him trying to ask a question of Harry Reid i think it was. He got too close there as well, but Reid has security guards who pushed him off. They didn’t abuse him the way Coakley’s did … remember that guy shoved a reporter on to his keister on a public sidewalk.
I just couldn’t get too excited about this jerk acting like he was doing Project Veritas level journalism, cuz he really wasn’t. He was just being a nuisancey paparazzi type dirtbag with a camera.

That was Jason Mattera, and you’re right that he’s not really Project Veritas level. His skills are not the best, and he can be a little confrontational, but he has some good moments. I remember him talking to the street rabble outside the Democrat Nat’l Convention in Denver in 2008. He got this old hippie couple talking about the issues that were most important to them, and they turned out to be mainly population control and saving the Earth from humans. He asked if they had children, and they enthusiastically said NO. That would be against everything they believed in. Jason calmly paused and suggested: “Well, did you ever consider taking the next logical step? You know…. completely reduce your footprints? To zero?”
The couple looked at each other sadly and back at Jason, but didn’t respond. They knew exactly what he was suggesting, and they were ashamed that they hadn’t offed themselves for the cause! It was really pathetic.
