MONDAY MORNING NEWS OF QUESTIONABLE IMPORT

In keeping with my self-imposed standards I will not report on the following:

Springfield, MO… white couple leaving a bar assaulted and beaten by six knee-grows obviously still upset over St. Mikey getting offed by a racist white cop.

Memphis, TN… a mob of about 100 Obama voters brutally beat a white student working at a Kroger store while two trashy future baby-mamas laughed and filmed it.

Philadelphia… a 13 and 14 year old assault a mentally-challenged man. Apparentlt they didn’t get enough exercise at recess.

The point is,the attacks are getting more frequent and more vicious since the animals sense they’ll never pay a price for their crime. The key is,beat white people, but don’t quite kill them. You can plea down to simple assault and be out before the cracka’s out of the hospital. It seems the only time the media is interested is when the victims fight back.

Oops. Guess I just reported it.
On to better stuff:

    Top 10 Turn-Out-the Vote 2014 Campaign Slogans
To cut through that, Republicans need to provide voters a sharp contrast that prompts (demands) their response. Here it is:

“My opponent, brought to you by the same people that gave you Obamacare, Common Core, ISIS, and the border crisis.”

    That’s it. Simple, yet powerful.

Curious what you think … I couldn’t get Tom Reed on there without mangling the message, but I’m not sure how smart it is to help anyone remember his opponent’s name. Some people are so dumb, they’d check it because it sounded familiar, you know?

I keep hearing that negative advertising works. I certainly like what this one says. But I don’t know who already has the name recognition in this race. In our primary of Dave Brat v. Eric Cantor, nobody much knew anything about Dave Brat, or that there was even going to be a primary until Eric Cantor started blasting the airways and the mailboxes about this “liberal college professor” opposing Eric Cantor. Really, Eric did the advertising for Dave, that Dave couldn’t afford himself! A similar situation would be my only concern.

Thanks, Ting. I think your concern is well founded for this race.

Martha Robertson is only very well known among those who would vote D if Adolf Hitler was running on that line. She’s been ruling the local Dems for years … and I do meaning ruling. Her style of leadership is reminiscent of the Queen of Hearts.

The incumbent, Tom Reed, is a REALLY good guy … the kind of person who spent all of August visiting every square foot of his constituency. His Facebook posts are the opposite of Oblamer’s … he actually DOES stuff (scoop ice cream, run in races) but when he posts about it, he brags on the other people who were there.

I know that people appreciated the fact that Dave Brat stayed positive, and only attacked Eric Cantor’s position on the Dream Act, etc. Mostly Dave just kept articulating the principles in the Republican Party of Virginia’s creed and stating that his votes would all got to further the cause of those principles. Eric’s people were bombarding folks with phone calls and mass mailings and tv and radio commercials, most of which were negative, and mentioning Dave Brat by name.

People talked about that a bit when they came to the polls to vote. One lady in particular approached and spoke directly to the Cantor guys standing next to me and blasted them – “Your guy will not stop calling me, etc.” and then she looked right at me and said “Your guy has behaved like a gentleman.” Sounds like Tom Reed is on the right track!

Obama defends decision to delay immigration action
You’ll never guess when he delayed amnesty until.
President Barack Obama said Saturday that the surge of immigrant children entering the U.S. illegally changed the politics surrounding the issue of immigration and led him to put off a pledge to use executive action that could shield millions of people from deportation.

    I don’t know why the amnesty hustlers are so pissed.They shoulkd realize Obama’s a liar.And liar’s……lie.
    Immigration activists rip Obama
A White House official said Obama decided to postpone acting on immigration until after November because of the tremulous political season and “Republican’s extreme politicization of the issue.”

But immigrant rights and Latino advocacy groups were quick to place blame on Obama and Democrats after hearing the news.

Arkansas shift. Pryor now trails Tom Cotton
Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Arkansas) has slipped behind his challenger, Rep. Tom Cotton (R), 40% to 45% among likely voters, the survey said. That’s a huge shift from the firm’s May poll that found Pryor ahead by 11 points among all registered voters.

Democrats face uphill terrain in their quest to keep the Senate as many of the key races are in Republican-leaning states where President Barack Obama is deeply unpopular.

I hope this holds. I don’t think Virginia is going to be of much help in taking back the Senate. We just do not have an inspiring candidate. One crook we don’t know or the one we do know? Lots of folks like Mark Warner – even some GOPe types. If Gillespie wins Virginia, then you will really be looking at a blow out all over the country.

Hillary: I Will ‘Probably’ Decide Early Next Year Whether To Run In 2016
Hillary Clinton will “probably” decide after Jan. 1, 2015, whether she will run for president in 2016, she said Friday.

“I am going to be making a decision around probably after the first of the year,” Clinton told the crowd in Mexico City, where she was speaking at a event for a organization founded by billionaire Carlos Slim, according to the Associated Press.

Clinton had previously said in June that it was “probably likely” she wouldn’t make an announcement until 2015 and that she would start seriously weighing the possibility after the November midterm elections.

As MSNBC’s Alex Seitz-Wald noted, Clinton announced her 2008 campaign on Jan. 20, 2007.

Please,Hillary…don’t keep us in suspense! We’re all on pins and needles awaiting your answer.

Poll: Walker Ahead, School Choice Wildly Popular in WI
Although Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) won his state’s gubernatorial contest in 2010, and made history by surviving a recall election two years later, Wisconsin is, in many ways, a blue state. And thus the union-busting, conservative governor now finds himself in the political fight of his life.

If he wins his re-re-election bid, however, most political observers agree: He’s on solid and fertile grounds to form an exploratory committee to run for president

    • Wisconsin votes Democrap in presidential elections, but we have a Republican governor and both chambers of the state house are majority Republican. Our congressional delegation is a mixed bag. So I’d call us a purple state, not a blue one.

I personally would prefer that Scott not run for president; I’d rather keep him here. But maybe I’m just being selfish.

I read about Abortion Barbie’s two politicized “abortions” … one of which was removal of an ectopic pregnancy before it killed her. That isn’t an abortion, but hey, if saying “TWO abortions” makes her base lurve her more, let’s just call it that.

The other was the typical, “The baby was deformed and probably not going to live.” So they made SURE she wouldn’t live and now she’s making leftie-hay over how SAAAAAAAAAAD she was watching her daughter’s heart stop beating on the ultrasound.

I had a friend whose unborn baby had no brain. She and her husband allowed him to live for as long as God chose, which was until natural birth and a little beyond. He died in their arms and they named him and had a funeral. Sure, it was hard on them to continue a pregnancy that was sure to end in sadness. But that’s what pro-life does … it respects life, rather than looking for an easy way out.

    Wendy Davis sickens me.

    • I hate it when people try to justify abortion on the grounds that “he/she is going to die anyway.” We are ALL going to die anyway, and that’s no excuse for killing. And that’s even assuming that doctors can predict these things accurately. Pretty much everyone knows someone who is alive who shouldn’t be, if some doctor’s prognostications had been correct. I long ago lost count of how many women I knew who’d carried to term a baby that some MD had said would not live, but they (the babies) did live. Some have outlived the MDs who gave them such hopeless odds. 🙂
