  1. A common mistake beginners make is thinking that high-scoring tiles are more desirable and low-scoring tiles are less desirable, when the reality is usually the opposite. It’s hard to make a bingo with the Z, Q, X, or J. It’s much easier to make a bingo with single-point letters, and easier to attach it to an existing word on the board (especially if you have an S). One of my highest-scoring bingos was the word TRILLION, which is composed entirely of single-point letters. Because the T and N were both on TWS squares, it got me 122 points.
