Two more significant events coming in April 2014

In January, I wrote about the extraordinary sequence of four Blood Moons split by a Solar Eclipse that begins in April.

Tetrad - Four blood moons coming

I also wrote about the SEVEN extraordinary lunar events in January, February and March leading up to the first of them in April 2014.

2014_01 - 03 Beginning of the End

Today, I learned of two more significant events coming up next month.

2014_04 Nine month Palestinian peace effort

2014_04 Six month nuke deal with Iran runs out

  1. Chrissy, I don’t know if I missed this, but have you addressed Matthew 24:20 yet? This is in the middle of the Olivet Discourse, right after the description of the Rapture:

20 Pray that you will not have to make your escape in winter or on a Sabbath.

To me (and at least one other source I’ve seen), this supports your idea of 2 Harvests– and better to not have to make the “escape” in “winter” — After autumn equinox, I would say, as climates such as those around Israel really only have the warmer season, and the cooler season, summer and winter, marked by the two equinoxes, thus why Summer Solstice used to often be called “Mid-Summer”.

To me, Jesus’ words here in verse 20 imply that one harvest will be post-autumn equinox, and one not-post-autumn equinox. This pre-equinox “Escape” is the one Jesus says we should aim for.

This passage is actually before the description of the Rapture. (Prophetic literature is often out of chronological order.)

Matt 24:15-29 “When you see the desolating abomination spoken of through Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains, a person on the housetop must not go down to get things out of his house, person in the field must not return to get his cloak. Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days. Pray that your flight not be in winter or on the sabbath.”

Note three points: the desolating abomination; those in Judea; and flight. Daniel 9:27 tells us the desolating abomination will come half-way through the last 7 years. “For one week he shall make a firm covenant with the many; Half the week he shall abolish sacrifice and offering; In their place shall be the desolating abomination until the ruin that is decreed is poured out upon the desolator.”

In Judea: The Rapture will be global. But there is a major earthquake in Jerusalem and a flight into the desert predicted for that same mid-point of the 7 years. See (or Part 31 in your book).

A flight into the desert would be a problem on Sabbath for those who limit the number of steps they take on Sabbath. (There are references to “a Sabbath day’s journey” in the NT.) Ditto winter, pregnant, nursing mothers. However, at the Rapture, Jesus is going to catch us up to meet Him in the clouds. It’s very “Beam me up, Jesus”, not “Run, people!”

I have this theory that the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is our model for the Rapture. Jesus ascended under His own power; Mary was caught up into the clouds by the power of God.

We know Mary was Assumed, but not whether she died first. I heard that one of the seers at Medjugorje asked her and Mary said she did not die. And we know she has a real, solid body, the same as Jesus, because St. Catherine Laboure (Miraculous Medal apparitions) knelt beside her and put her hands into Mary’s lap. She said Mary was solidly real.

I think this is so beautiful, that Mary is the model for those who will be caught up alive, while Jesus who died and rose into a glorified body is the model for those who are the dead in Christ at the time of the Rapture. 1 Thess 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together* with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.”

      • Ah, right. . . thanks for the clarifying and correcting! You are def. much better at this than I, lol 😛

Mary is a great model for the Rapture– kinda adds another layer to the Assumption. We see that God often does really BIG THINGS to humans by first first setting up a “smaller” example– the Jewish Feast/Appointments in advance of Big Dates in salvation history, John the Baptist miraculously concieved to announce Jesus, all the escalating plagues before the final plague of Egypt, all the Covenants of the OT, each one marking another stage of development in anticipation of the Covenant with the Son. . . Likewise, if there is to be a Rapture, it makes sense that the Assumption of Mary wasn’t just for the sake of herself and her Son, but also to serve as a promise to His people, showing them exactly what He intends for those who, like Mary, hear the Word and obey it.

I was thinking that Mary’s apparitions are also a possible sign that our thoughts and fantasies about “WHY a Rapture?” are on target.

Not sure if I remembered to share … I was telling Dearest about ZM’s fantastic thoughts about “Why a Rapture?” and about my fantasies about popping in on people to teach and ZM’s about being in the final army. He kinda blushed and looked off to the side, then admitted he’s been having fantasies for a few years about being in the French Resistance.

That filled in the middle for me. My fantasy was limited to the first six months, which I’m thinking may come between the Rapture and the treaty that starts the final 7 year countdown. ZM’s (if I got it right) is about being in the final battle at Armageddon, when Jesus comes in on a horse, leading a great army. But really … IN BETWEEN, the faithful will need help. I can totally see Dearest scouting out sources for food, water, Bibles, hideouts. His dream movie job is location scout!

          • Useful at anytime, teaching, resisting or fighting. Ninjas are flexible like that, lol!

So. . Mary, as the First to be “Raptured”, as the Woman that Crushes the Serpent, but also as the Teacher (teaching children to pray, their catechism, etc), Informant (various prophecies and such), and Organizer of the local Resistance (have you seen where she pops up?). She does have a habit of getting into places that don’t really expect her, doesn’t she? Her apparitions are very strategically placed, if looked at on a global, long-time frame scale. . .

            • chrissythehyphenated

Intriguing thought there. Do you have a source or something about strategic, global, long time? I’d LOVE to see it!

I’ve got just one that I “figured out” (had a dream) myself and have seen nowhere else. Maybe it’s time to blog it.

              • 1) Blog away, if you feel ready!
                2) Actually, don’t have a source– I was just thinking about how she pops up on places in Egypt were there are only Muslims, or a town called Fatima, and some other places. . . Mmm, that’s a project I could do, though not until next week at least– plotting out the “approved” apparitions, noting place in time as well, and the possible strategic reasoning.

[This is the result of a long-pondered “why” regarding St.Joan of Arc– Why would God care who won this battle or that during the France-England spats? Because England had to be one one side of the channel, and France on the other, and while it didn’t happen in Joan’s time, she had a role in shifting some momentum (butterfly in the wind, right? Some ripples take longer to pan out). Why did the borders of France and England matter to God? Well, not to invoke Godwin’s law, but. . .because Napoleon and Hitler. God, in His infinite wisdom, knowing it was only a matter of time before Napoleon and Hitler (or someone else like them) came around, the island had to be free and independent of the continent. Or else the blitz would have taken Britain, too. . . and then many things get a lot worse very quickly. . .]

I’ll try sometime next week to compile or find a map of “approved” (and maybe include those that haven’t been “Disapproved”) apparitions. . .

          • Vive la Resistance!!!!

Just as I was answering this, my dd texted me this: “I was thinking about Mary this morning on my way to the gym. And then I thought you know how she is the Queen and of course God is The King. So in chess – to get to someone’s King, you don’t necessarily NEED to go through the Queen, but it is the BEST way. AND Strategically, the QUEEN is the piece that really makes things happen. I mean if you lose your Queen, its almost definitely over for you. I don’t know if that makes sense or not, but in my brain it does!”

          • Which is why she keeps popping up all over the place, while the King abides. . . ?

            • chrissythehyphenated

I just can’t help thinking … “He likes to let us help.” I loved it when my kids wanted to help me with my chores, even when they weren’t really much actual help or … face it … it would’ve been faster and easier without them. LOL

              • Well, maybe He can find us something equivalent to folding dishcloths or pairing socks. . . lol

              • And that’s exactly why I don’t buy the arguments that some make about rejecting prayers of the saints, modern miracles, apparitions, etc. On Earth and in Heaven, God clearly “likes to let us help.” His miracles are frequently worked through others. Through living saints, through the intercession of saints in heaven, through our own faithful actions. Still His. But others help. He *could* do it all Himself, but that’s not how he works. Good point.

            • “the King abides…” Oh, man, you just made me think of the Big Lebowski. I hate that movie. 😯
