PETE’S PAGE; TUESDAY EDITION
Posted by Pistol Pete
As usual, flying by the seat of my britches. Every time I clear my cache of crappy political news it seems to fill up again by the next day. I promised to bring some better stuff today, and I always try to keep a promise made.
The Senate GOP came up with a brilliant plan to extend unemployment benefits for 3 months by extending sequester cuts by a year, into 2014. Did you get that? The dems get 3 months now for cuts everybody knows will never happen. They screwed Reagan,HW Bush and W with this same trick. You’d think after sniffing a water-squirting flower a few times they’d figure out its a trick. Hey,it’s only money, right?
I gotta start posting earlier…Chrissy keeps upstaging me
Media whore Mark Kelly brags about their PAC raising $11 million to elect gun-grabbing libs while holding his talking, windup Gabby doll.Don’t she look stupid?
Secretary John F Kerry (who served in Viet Nam) presents Russian Prime Minister Lavrov with….potatoes!
Maybe he said: how do you make vodka out of these? What an embarrassment.

Planned Parenthood’s Real Business
PP touts the claim that only 3% of their business is abortion. But they get this number by counting every incidence of service as a unique patient interaction.
E.g., Every woman who gets her monthly birth control pills from PP counts as 13 per year, one for the appointment and 12 for each prescription.
This graph eliminates all PP to non-pregnant women. It shows a very, very different story.

Jan 13, 2014: Pope Francis: Baptism is the long chain of faith [1:19]
Pope Francis formally welcomed 32 babies into the Catholic church, pouring water from a shell-shaped dish over their heads and pronouncing their names one by one, as beaming parents held their children, dressed in white satin or silk gowns and other finery, in the chapel whose ceiling was frescoed by Michelangelo.
“If they are hungry, mothers, feed them, without thinking twice. Because they are the most important people here,” he said in the same chapel where he was elected as the first Latin American pope.
In his homily, Pope Francis emphasized the greatest and most important legacy that parents should leave to their children is the faith, following the unbroken chain of tradition begun by Jesus Himself.
Although He “had no need of being baptized,” Jesus, “with His body, with His Divinity, in Baptism blessed all the waters, so that water might have the ability to give Baptism.”
The first baptisms by the new pontiff occurred on the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord.
