About that debt

Cruz says Republicans are complicit in the $17 trillion debt [1:46]

Cruz also says McCain sabotaged the House’s efforts. This short clip comes only after an ad that’s longer than the clip, which I think is just absurd. We don’t subjected to that much advertising on commercial television, but I couldn’t find this clip at YouTube.

Well, of course Republicans are complicit. Why in the world people are calling Ted Cruz nuts is beyond me. But then, I think Sarah Palin makes a lot of sense, too, so they are probably trying to figure out how to take my Phi Beta Kappa key away as I type.

    • Got this in my Fox News First email: Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, may have left Washington to a chorus of boos last week, but he found lots of love deep in the heart of Texas. Reuters reports: “Cruz was greeted with an eight-minute standing ovation in an appearance organized by the Texas Federation of Republican Women.” Cruz told CNN on Sunday: “I am not interested in seeing the American people suffer just because my party might benefit politically if they blame the Democrats for the foolish policies that have been imposed.” Cruz would not rule out forcing another government shutdown over the president’s health law.

  2. “The sky is falling” version 1.0: Sequestration
“The sky is falling” version 2.0: Government “shutdown”
“The sky is falling” version 3.0: Threats of “default”

Republicans weren’t afraid of version 1.0 or 2.0, but they absolutely feared version 3.0, and were willing to sign any bill that Harry Reid wrote in order to avoid default.

Default would be a bad thing, but the in this particular scenario it was a false threat. We would NOT have defaulted on October 17th. In fact, we would not have defaulted at all unless Obama and Treasury Secretary Lew CHOSE to default instead of paying the interest due on our debt.

I have more to say on this issue, but other things I need to attend to now. I’ll probably come back in a few days to share more thoughts.

They’ll do this when the time is ripe for martial law and global domination … just like they did with the housing bubble crisis, which was so “conveniently” (read: carefully) timed to get Obama elected.

  3. I read this, “The paradox of Obama is that he believes in his own magical powers, but then he doesn’t turn up to use them”, and thought … wow, maybe Maureen Dowd has finally caught a clue.

But noooooooooooooo. The bitch is siding with MCCAIN, who is just a bend over shill for the Democrats who are spending us into Communism.

I’ll stick with the “tea party zanies” … because we’re the only people who can see beyond the end of our own noses.
