What’s in a name?

“That which we call a rose, by any other name, would smell as sweet.”   Or would it?  You hear mumblings from time to time about the importance of naming legislation and how this can work either for or against politicians when looking at their voting records.  Well, I happened across this little gem of a video, both entertaining and sad, that illustrates this point very well.  It gives a pretty clear idea of why you won’t catch me referring to Obamacare as the Affordable Care Act any time soon!

  2. There’s a really good story in Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue, about how carefully they chose the names for her two signature energy bills in Alaska.

That was back when Liberals lurved her for being the first female governor of our largest state and for sticking it to Big Oil and getting annual checks for Alaskan citizens from them.
