2 Men Charged in Chicago Mass Shooting That Injured 13
I have two issues with this whole thing;first,neither of the two thugs they arrested is suspected of doing the actual shooting.The 21 yr old was convicted last year of armed assault and possession of a gun by a convicted felon and sentenced to BOOT CAMP!!!!
No wonder nobody in Chicago fears the police.97% of all gun crimes go unpunished.
Second,a lot has been made of the 3 year old who was shot in the head.WHAT IS A 3 YR OLD DOING IN A PARK FULL OF GANG MEMBERS AT 10:30 PM??

It is really tough here right now. People do not like either of these candidates very much. I had a conversation with my mother today and she was planning to write-in Bill Bolling since she hates both of the candidates. I hope I convinced her to vote against McCauliffe, but you never know.
Also, the Times Dispatch has had some really nasty coverage of Cuccinelli the last few months (part of the reason why so many people dislike him) so this editorial on Sunday was kind of a surprise.

This man has insurance on himself, his wife and his family. It’s a high-deductible, no frills package. He hasn’t made claims on it. He and his family are healthy. They were just notified their premiums will go from $4,000 a year to $12,000 a year. The letter spells out how this is entirely the result of ObamaCare.

My dh has not had insurance since he chose to go into business for himself. He pays for the health care of his choice out of pocket. These include chiropractic, herbs, vitamins and lots of fresh produce.
He fills a very important function in the community, doing architectural design work for middle income families and small businesses. He’s currently doing design work for an expansion of the very-popular-with-liberals Greenstar health food store in Ithaca. If he charged what he’d have to charge to pay the premiums he’d have to pay to get health insurance for just himself, his customer base, esp Greenstar, wouldn’t be able to afford his services. And he wouldn’t be able to get coverage for what he wants, because New Yorkers are forbidden to buy on the open market. It’s Blue Cross or screw you.
Obama Democrats are rewarding him for living healthy and being a good contributing citizen by forcing him to choose between continuing to spend his health care money on his health care of choice and face whatever consequences come down the road from the IRS fine we won’t be able to afford … OR … he can sign up for the Obamacare plan, which will take all his health care dollars, use some for abortions we abhor, and deny him access to any of the health care options of his choice.

Any day now I’m expecting to get a letter from my insurer telling me my policy has been canceled, or that if I want to keep it I’ll have to pay twice or three times as much. It covers only me and my teenage daughter, since my husband is on Medicare. It’s a high-deductible, no-frills plan, and even so it’s not inexpensive, but it has been affordable… until now. I doubt that it will be much longer.

I’m holding my breath for the same reason, Bob. My renewal date is Jan 1, so it seems like it would come soon if they are going to cancel it. I wish I knew what they meant by catastrophic insurance. I have read that only people under 30 will be allowed to buy that (but maybe this is just on the exchanges?) My deductible is $5,000 – exactly what I want, but maybe that is considered catastrophic these days, and I am certainly over 30!

I was more or less forced into depending solely on the Holy Spirit for my health care and you know how many problems I’ve got. But He’s come through so beautiful, so often, that I know you can depend on Him if He puts you in that place also.
