CNN’s Don Lemon makes sense and gets hate for it

Bill O’Reilly enraged many with his “Talking Points Memo” criticism of black culture in America. One surprising ally was CNN’s Don Lemon who approved of O’Reilly’s critique, and even said that he didn’t go far enough.

2013_07 28 Don Lemon on CNN

Video [6:34] embedded here is worth viewing. Can you believe that a host on CNN played a clip of Bill O’Reilly on FOX News?!

I do have one quibble with his ending shot at Republicans.

Supposedly, the only time we talk about black on black violence is when we want to use it to slam Democrats. Um … no. We talk about it, but the Left doesn’t listen. And how well did it work out for you when you talked about it, hmm, Don? You got a lot of backlash, didn’t you.

Well, pal, we get blamed for every damned thing that is wrong with everything in this country … in the world, for crying out loud. Whether we TALK about things or DON’T talk about them, we get blamed. We’re racists and haters and homophobes just because we checked R on our voter registration.

So tell me this, Mr. CNN Host … when was the last time you defended George W. Bush? Are you even aware that he SAVED MORE BLACK LIVES than any Democrat ever with his African AIDS program?

Get the PLANK out of your own eye before you presume to identify some phantom splinter you think you see in mine.

THE MONDAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

OKOKOK….I know I’m late.Had a lot of things to do this morning.

First off,I’d like to ask you to join me in offering prayers up for my new friend Knight4GFC at our brother blog.He lives in Hawaii and they are being slammed today by Tropical Storm Flossie, the worst they’ve had since 1992.May Almighty God keep them all safe and whole.

Some things to comment on today, like the soap opera that is the double-entendre joke walking and connecting him to the Klintoons, the left walking around with chubbies thinking Rush is going off the air and NBC making a miniseries called “Hillary.” But they insisit it’s not political.Just a biography of a power-mad shrew that they happen to worship the ground she walks on.

THIS IMAGE WAS ALMOST LEFT OUT OF THE 9/11 MEMORIAL BECAUSE IT WAS “TOO RAH-RAH”

Then it’s time for me to leave

WE GET EXCORIATED FOR DEFENDING THE UNBORN INNOCENTS.FUNNY,THEY SEEM OK WITH THESE JAGOFFS.

Frock Star

2013_07 27 Frock Star Pope Francis at WYD in Brazil

Jesus offers us something bigger than the World Cup!

What do players do when they are asked to join a team?

They have to train, and to train a lot!

The same is true of our lives as the Lord’s disciples.

You are Christ’s athletes!

You are called to build a more beautiful Church and a better world.

Obama vs Pope Francis

Go and make disciples of all nations.

Careful, though!

Jesus did not say, “If you would like to, if you have the time,” but “Go.”

It is a command that is born not from a desire for domination or power but from the force of love, from the fact that Jesus first came into our midst and gave us, not a part of himself, but the whole of himself, he gave his life in order to save us and to show us the love and mercy of God.

Jesus does not treat us as slaves, but as free men, as friends, as brothers and sisters; and he not only sends us, he accompanies us, he is always beside us in our mission of love.
