I hate looking at him. I hate the sound and cadence of his voice, and I hate his smarmy, smug face. The fact that he is a malignant narcissist and inserts himself into every story makes me just want to scream, because it means I have to see him WAY more often than I can reasonably be expected to handle.

I soooo agree. It just makes me sick to think we have to listen to these two creepy people for four more years, along with Reid an Pelosi.

What was he doing up there anyway? Putting a ribbon on? Fondling the ribbon? Remembering his grandfather that was at Auschwitz (not)?

You’re welcome! I have lots more of them… including one I’m saving for a special occasion. π
We need to get some more commenters to adopt avian gravatars. Maybe we could persuade GP to start using a chickadee or a nuthatch or something? It would jazz up the “fresh pollen” widget in the sidebar to have more little birdies there.

I have googled other both Bush presidents, there is lots of footage and reports of them visiting Pearl Harbor and description of GW placing wreath, but, Lo! Surprise! No pics of the occasion. There is a video of elder Bushs at 50 year anniversary. Babs was a blessing to watch as she cozied up to the young serviceman next to her….smile, eye contact, cute little wave of hand from her side. The young man watched her some during the prayer. They must have known each other, so it appears.

I have a relative (Obama drooler … or was, she hasn’t talked to me in eons, so I am wondering if she gagged on the kool-aid and is embarrassed to admit it to me) … anyway, sorry. Relative. Worked for a charity Babsy (she said they called her Babsy) was active in. Got to sit at lunch table with her! LOVED her! (Gives me hope she isn’t lost to the koolaid. I love this gal.) Said she was just funny and kind and unabashed about tucking rolls in her purse for Milly. LOL

What a wonderful article about GW’s stop at Pearl Harbor. Nothing ever gets written like this about the guy in the pic above… http://www.navy.mil/submit/display.asp?story_id=10225

Love this part!
“Retired Chief Boatswain’s Mate Harold Estes, a well-known local Navy veteran, got a little more personal with the president during their short conversation. ‘When we met, I gave him a business card and told him I was from Oklahoma and that Oklahoma beat Texas in a recent college football game’, Estes said with his trademark grin. ‘He laughed and said I was wrong. He said, ‘Oklahoma didn’t beat Texas – Oklahoma pounded Texas.'”
