November 10, 2012 OCEANPORT, New Jersey (Reuters) – A few hundred Superstorm Sandy refugees have been living in giant billowy white tents here since Wednesday. It’s tough to sleep, what with the massive klieg lights glaring down and generators buzzing all night long. The entire place is in lockdown, with security guards at every door, including the showers. No one is allowed to go anywhere without showing their I.D. Even to use the bathroom. The mini city has no cigarettes, no books, no magazines, no board games, no TVs, and no newspapers or radios. To be sure, no one has been forced to stay in the tent city. But many say they have no other immediate option.

And of course the sheep are not bleating because their dear leader is not an evil Republican.
I bet in the end though, they will find a way to blame Bush.

Or Sarah or Mitt. Isn’t it odd how they never seem to blame McCain? And he’s the only one of the four who still has any actual say in government. That right there should tell us all we need to know about him, neh?

New word from my SCRABBLE habit … OGEES: a double curve, resembling the letter S, formed by the union of a concave and a convex line.
Pronounced like OH JEEEEZ which I imagine is what I’d be screaming after racing at speed through a series of ogees on a roller coaster.

I work with ogee moldings almost every single day! I bet the architect you live with knows this one, too!

OGEES is also a very common type of edge treatment for granite counter tops.

FUNNY article @ http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/11/17/Dont-let-door-hit%20-you-on-way-out-mccain
Excerpt:
Like a broken clock wearing a tiara, Ms. McCain isn’t wrong about everything. The dilemma, though, is that if we make some changes, she might not leave. There’s no question she’s correct that Republicans need to get smarter about immigration. But is it really worth fixing what needs to be fixed if the consequence is Meghan McCain remaining a Republican?
Four years of President Hillary Clinton or four more years of Meghan McCain?
Let me sleep on that one.

Citing a longstanding battle with upper management over journalistic practices at their Bangor TV stations, news co-anchors Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio announced their resignations at the end of Tuesday’s 6 p.m. newscast.
Consiglio said there were times he wasn’t able to do his best and be honest and ethical as a journalist. Michaels said they had been expected to do “somewhat unbalanced news, politically, in general.”

The cartoon on this Pseudo Grudge is pretty much spot on. You somehow just know the family is going to fall, but those big old jackasses and elephants will be standing at the top watching the fall – maybe even laughing the whole time.
I am really ready for this holiday. I have had some kind of cold/allergy/bronchitis/croup/God Knows What for over a month now and I am hoping to have a nice dinner with family and then spend some down time to finally shake this nasty stuff. I think I might even have broken a rib coughing so much. I would worry but there are lots of people here in Richmond in the same boat – this is a devil of a bug and I hope all of you escape it.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! You are all on my list of blessings.
