THE DECISION DAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

This is the day that the Lord hath made;I will rejoice and be glad in it.

We have endured ad after ad and poll after poll and it all comes down to this.Despite the LSM’s efforts to convince us it’s very close,but Obama will win a majority of  the swing states, I just don’t buy it.We have predicted all along that there’s an earthquake coming and the media won’t know what’s happening.Think of Chick-Fil-A and the outpouring of support  when people stand up for their principles.Think of the media dismissing the Tea Party as a small right-wing fringe group,even ignoring the Sept. 12 rally in DC that drew a million people.We watched as Obamacare was slipped through on Christmas Eve as a thief in the night.Two car companies were stolen from the rightful owners and one given to a foreign company and the other to Obama’s union thugs.So many outrages.The most grievous was allowing Americans to die because he was concentrating on his reelection.He has been a virus that has sickened us for four long years and today is the day we can administer the antidote.

But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

      Rhambo was on WLS this morning, telling John Kass that they are expecting 100% voter turnout in Chicago.
      100%??
      Are you kidding me? My son lives in the city, and probably won’t vote, like most of the young people who are still too brainwashed that republicans are evil, but they have had it with BHO.
      Of course, we all know that the machine still votes, even if no one shows up in person.

  10. Kind of a skewed poll, but early commenters over on Ace (and boy is it busy there!) are pretty consistently saying that the lines at polling places began before polls opened and lines have stayed strong. Even in very Democrat areas. As someone on Ace sorta said, it’s unlikely this is a giant outpouring of grateful appreciation for O’s last four years. One person said, they’re not saying who they’re voting for, but there was lots of talk about, well, change. [heh heh heh]

    Although we got in earlier than usual, it was amazing. I didn’t have to wait for a booth, but some did, and they were pretty much all always filled while we were there. Never a line, exactly, but there was a constant flow. That’s outstanding for our little rural precinct. The poll watchers said it was, relative to past elections, very busy. Yay!

    • I’ll be leaving for the polls in a few minutes. Not looking forward to standing in line (as I’m pretty sure I’ll have to do), but definitely looking forward to marking that ballot. I’m going to enjoy this vote more than any other I’ve ever cast — even more than I enjoyed voting for Scott Walker in the recall, and that’s saying a lot.

      Dearest got home from a loooooooooooong day poll watching at an almost entirely Democrat station. (He did the Republican primaries and they had FOUR voters the whole time!)

      Today, he said it was not crazy, but just constantly busy, like you said, a flow. The area has a lot of student housing and he thought some of the clueless students were kind of funny. Obviously never done it before and had no idea how.

    • If they do, it will have the opposite effect. And anyway, they’ve been claiming victory for as long as the campaign’s been going on, and their loyal comrades in the media keep dutifully citing polls that show Obama wins easily. Any Romney voter who hasn’t been demoralized yet is immune to demoralization.

  14. Going out of business sign: Pete, you’re as great at coming up with the graphics as with the vids! Thanks.

    Eagle pic: We have an avian foundation near our place, who nurture the big birds, so we get to see these overhead, now and then. Quite a jolt, when you look up thinking, oh, just another turkey vulture, and then its majesty hits you! Plus, sometimes it’s ‘way ‘way up and going straight-line fast — wow! It’s a thrill for both seeing the bird, and of course for what ol’ Baldy has come to represent.

    One step down on the thrill scale, some weeks back, I think the ‘oversized hawk,’ which I saw soar off a tall post was actually a golden eagle. Besides its unusually large size (for a hawk), its call was distinctive from a hawk’s. Wish I’d been able to get a better look, but, magnificent anyway.

    I like having the big birds around, but these are predators, so I worry about our little kitties sometimes. But then, my kitties cause me to worry about the little birds! Nature! It’s too confusing! I can’t take it! I’m moving back to an apartment in Chicago!

    (Pardon my babbling. Anything to not think about the election….)

    • We have bald eagles around here, as well as many other large predatory birds. All my kitties and grandkitties stay indoors. When they need to feel like they’re outdoors, they go sit on the screen porch!

      • Ah! I envy you your cats’ protection. I sometimes wonder whether we ought not get all our cats into the homes of indulgent little old ladies with no other pets, who will give them fluffy upholstery, copious lap time, and much longer life expectancies, except for the overfeeding. But, but, every one came to us with a story and has so endeared itself to us, part of our and each others’ lives!

          I am so jealous! I have never seen a live eagle. We have a bird sanctuary near us, where they keep large birds who have been attacked by man, and can no longer hunt. They are mostly owls and hawks.
          I do see lots of hawks around here. Once, while riding my bike in the park, one swooped down in front of me and grabbed a squirrel. It was amazing to watch..
          I too keep the cats, (now cat) in the house, which is why my last two lived almost 20 years, lying around on the fluffy upholstery and driving my husband crazy. lol We have coyotes too, so they are not safe outside, not to mention the things they tend to bring into the house with them.
          The litter box is annoying but it sure beats the alternative.
          Thanks for the diversion MW!

          • Many years ago I used to let my cats go outside. One got hit by a car. One went feral, and it took us months to get her back. One was trapped by a neighbor because he trespassed on her property, and she called animal control and had him arrested and sent to the animal shelter, where I had to pay a hefty fine to get him back. Now all of my kitties stay indoors. No more road kill, no more going feral, no more having to bail them out of jail. Also no ticks, no fleas, no worms, no burrs in the fur, no parasites, no worries. The litter box is a small price to pay. 🙂

      We are going to have an impact PP, even here in IL.
      We may not be able to overcome that “100%” turnout from crook county, but we can still embarrass barry.
      When I voted, there was no line, but a steady stream of people and the count was double was it was at the primary, and I voted late in the day for that one.
      Remember, WE surround them. We just have to vote in droves to overcome the cheating.

    My daughter had to wait in line over an hour to vote here in VA. That is unheard of at our precinct, where I hate to tell you the Obama yard signs are way more than the Romney yard signs. I am just praying that that the Romney voters are the “quiet types.” I’ll probably go around 3:00. My husband is always the first voter when the polls open because he goes to work early. It is like clockwork at our precinct!

    Voted early this morning, and there was already a line when my husband and I arrived around 7:15! Our neighborhood was solid for Obama in 08, and I’m sure his supporters came out again this year, but in lesser numbers, and with much less enthusiasm than I saw 4 years ago. Our poll watchers were all friendly, but disorganized, as usual, and they were not very discrete. The guy ahead of me in line voted for ALL of the presidential candidates. I know that he did, because when his ballot was rejected by the machine, the poll worker informed him (loudly) exactly what his mistake was. I’m glad I didn’t mess up my ballot. Now it’s time to sit back, relax and watch the left melt down when Romney wins in a landslide! Cheers everyone!

      We had something similar for Dewey … a long-legged monkey stuffie that I hung on a low cupboard door that I’d partially secured with a rubber band. When Dewey pulled on the monkey, the door came part way open, then snapped shut. It was hysterical to watch, but I don’t remember him having nearly the persistence of this Lab pup.
