THE MONDAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

The original plan was to go on hiatus indefinitely, since I could not accurately convey the breadth and depth of revulsion I’m feeling for this open, weeping sore on the genitals of humanity who has the unmitigated gall to consider himself the leader of the free world. But then I figured my inaction would put me in the same light as this cravenly yellow rat bastard. If you’ve been suffering from a snark deficiency, come forth and ye shall be filled for my cup runneth over….way over.

I watched Sens. Udall and Warner on FNS yesterday and when Wallace asked them directly if the drones over the Benghazi embassy were armed, they did a dance that would give Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers pause to duplicate. Politicians in general and libs in particular are loathe to say anything definite they cannot wiggle out of.That may be a large part of the contempt the public in general holds this gaggle of thieves in.

I do not watch the other Sunday talking head shows because my auto-immune system cannot process the bile spewn by these heaps of rancid animal entrails who laughingly call themselves ‘journalists.’ From what I’ve read, not one ever mentioned Benghazi.Protective to the end of the grinning purple lips with nothing but an empty soul behind them. They will successfully keep the embassy murders from becoming general knowledge until after the election,as their emperor has commanded them. How I pray the entire pack of them be laid low in 8 days time.

Doherty and Woods ignored the standdown order and rushed to the sound of the guns because they were Marines;they live by the motto: Never leave a fallen comrade behind–ever. On the best day of his miserable, meaningless street-corner hustling life the Kenyan half-breed couldn’t hack two days of Marine training.I wonder at what point the fallen warriors realized their Commander-In-Chief had sold them out to get reelected.

The damnable part is that there will be no price paid for this betrayal. Not Obama, not Cankles, not Leon Panheada. An admiral or general may take the fall, the truly guilty will walk away as they nearly always do.

During the 2008 primary when Hillary! asked about who would answer the phone at 3AM,now we know.Obama would answer the phone, watch Americans die then go back to bed so he could hop a flight to Vegas the next day to gather in more money.

I would be remiss if I did not offer prayers up for the safety of Chrissy,Ting and any other of our friends living in Sandy’s path.Be safe and well.

      Dear Mr. Woods:
What do you expect from a man who says he would be proud to call the likes of a hoodie like Trayvon his son and would never in a million years encourage a son to join the military.
I will be voting to get our military what they deserve-
a CIC who puts THEIR safety above all.
In your son’s name, I cast my vote.

We KNOW he spent a lot of time on his basketball team’s bench, bitching at the coach about how he would do it all better than those guys the coach put in. In my experience, coaches are very good at sniffing out b.s.

My dad was a professional coach. I grew up in that world. Back in 2008, when I heard that High School Barry had been 2d string and whiney about it, I knew he wasn’t fit for office.

::hand raised:: Already voted on paper!

I have been behind the Iron Curtain twice in my life, first when I was 11 and my mother, brother and I went to Budapest and again when I was 17 and my folks gave me a school trip to Leningrad and Moscow for my “every holiday of your senior year, including graduation” present.

You know that thing about wanting to kiss the ground when you get home? It’s true. After the Budapest experience, my mother began attending Mass on July 4th to thank God for freedom.

By the time I turned 18 and registered to vote, I was a devout Christian-Catholic with a deep reverence for the United States of America, the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation (aka, confession).

We’d also nearly lost my eldest brother in Vietnam, then had to endure seeing him and his comrades called ugly, evil names that did not begin to describe who they really were. So trust me when I say that voting has not and never will remind me of sex. (That ad makes me livid.)

What it does remind me of is blood shed in sacrifice. Receiving Eucharist. Going into a Reconciliation Room to work through the ways I’ve failed to be the best I can be. HONORING the blood shed to gain and protect our freedoms. THIS is what voting is about for me.

Since I’ve been homebound and voting absentee, I’ve really missed the private, confessional quality of the voting booth. That ritual closing in to cast my one (and only one) vote.

This year, since it was just SO IMPORTANT, I made my absentee experience as much of a ritual as I could. I cleared off the table and got my Bible, ballot, pen and stamp out. I prayed before and after. Kissed the envelope and prayed God would see it safely to its destination.

It helped. But I still miss the community aspect that is like Mass, lining up with others to receive Eucharist … it’s so much like standing in line for voting. May those of you who vote in person this year do so prayerfully.

          Beautifully said.
I know what you mean about feeling proud of voting. I just furious with people who say it is a waste of time, or worse yet, those who think we should all be able to vote online. If you cannot make the effort to vote, when others have died for you to have the privilege, you do not deserve to call yourself American.
We have such low voter turn out in Il because people think it does not matter. I can understand why they feel that way, since we have to deal with the Chicago mob who count the ballots, but if more people would vote, we could overcome the cheating!
We need to all take our vote very seriously. It is such a privilege and we should never take it for granted.
I never thought of saying a prayer over my vote but I love the idea and will do so this year.

People don’t participate when they feel the system is rigged. The only people who FIGHT efforts to ensure one live citizen votes once and only once are the same people who CHEAT.

Petraeus. My dd had personal experience with the man during The Surge in Iraq. She had nothing but praise.

Back when that thing happened with Rolling Stone and McChrystal, Dearest and I both had the same immediate thought … the General had fallen on his sword for the sake of his troops. Ditto Terry Lakin.

These are not stupid men who get where they are because they know how to kiss ass. Some do, I’ll grant you, esp in peace time. But McChrystal, Lakin and most definitely Petraeus are well-educated, highly intelligent, battle-hardened warriors.

Whatever Petraeus is doing now is part of a game plan. Whatever his mission, it will benefit the nation first, even if it means it destroys his career.

[Let me be clear here. Colin Powell is not cut from the same cloth as these younger men. Read his bio @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Powell. He served briefly in Vietnam, but most of his career has been political and during the years when Vietnam was reviled and the military held in contempt. The fact he has now apparently lost his marbles over the black-like-me president just puts him in the same box as Kerry and Murtha.]

I do not understand why he’s even running again. He’s 73. For crying out loud, when is enough enough? Catholic priests are not allowed to stay on past 70, bishops past 75. It’s only the poor Pope who gets a life sentence and from what I heard, Benedict did NOT want to be elected.

These power mongers like Reid, Pelosi, Kennedy, Byrd who stay on and on long past when they actually can do a good job … to me they seem silly, sad and pathetic … people who have no life outside of the job, who can’t bear to live without the perks and strokes.

I have the same feeling when I see somebody with a gigantic boom box on his shoulder, bellowing horrible noise in his ears. I see a person who is terrified of silence, afraid to hear his own thoughts. Or maybe it’s the voice of God and his conscience he’s trying to drown out.

She really is just following the example of her inspiration, Marie Antoinette.
If you have never been to Versailles, it is astounding at how huge the place is.
And in the back, Marie had built a miniature village where she and her ladies could don costumes and pretend they were one of the masses, feeding ducks, turning a spinning wheel or whatever.
      It is just astounding.
Here was another thing that I thought was eye opening, or should I say gives one an up close idea of what life in Versailles smelled like.
When standing in Louis’ former salon, the room STILL reeks of urine.
It seems the kings literally felt their shit did not stink. They would just piss in the corner and then call the chamber maid to mop it up.
Now you know why the perfume business got it’s start in France!

He wouldn’t make it on the bus. It is not a done deal to just walk in and enlist.

First off, they don’t give a crap what your skin color is. The only colors they see are red, white and blue.

I tried to enlist once. I never got past the first interview. I said I needed allergy shots and the recruiter shook my hand and said, “Sorry. We can’t use you.”

If you get past the first interview, you then have to produce a genuine birth certificate and school transcripts, pass a physical and produce medical reports from any doctor who has treated for anything that might be questionable (our kids wore orthotics, so the podiatrist had to talk to the military about their feet), then take multiple aptitude tests and endure interviews with people who know what it takes to be a soldier in combat.

My kids went through weeks of pre-enlistment screening. The upgrade to officer track took even longer and involved not just more copies of the birth certificates and transcripts, but detailed lists of every employer and every home address and every foreign friend or relative for many years prior to enlisting.

The home addresses was a real challenge; who keeps a record of the address of every apartment from college?!

Obama’s whole hidden records thing makes me NUTS precisely because I saw how much documentation my kids had to produce in order to have the privilege of being sent off to some garden spot to get shot at. Yet the ass wipe who SENDS them (and presumes to do so without Congress!!) has refused to produce ANY documentation. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Yes, Bob. And that’s just the beginning. Next, there’s BOOT CAMP. There’s a reason they make it so hard, scream at them and all that stuff you see in the movies. They need to wash out the kids who can’t HACK it. Better they should get a handshake and a ride home than they get graduated into a uniform and sent into combat.

One of my kids went to Parris Island for basic. My brother went to Quantico, which is where officer training is for the Marine Corps. He told me he would never want to go through basic at Parris, where the grunts go, because it’s so hard.

The mail restrictions are really really tight, so we couldn’t talk to her or send her stuff, just letters. I wanted to do something to help her with the muscle pain and lack of sleep. So I dripped clove oil on a piece of paper and mailed that; it’s an effective analgesic. And then I did another with peppermint; that’s good for waking you up.

She told me when she opened the envelopes, she burst into tears. Her bunk mate asked if she’d gotten bad news. She blubbered, “Nooooooooooooo … it’s just … it smells like hooooooooooooome.”

She came home so thin, she looked like a pencil. After she had her break, she went back for further training in weapons and fox holes and stuff. Then she finally got to go do some school work, where she gained back some of her girlish curves, which relieved me.

My other dd had less rigorous boot camp in the Army, but they made up for it in the next school. Each week of her MOS training, they added more gear to what they wore ALL DAY EVERY DAY. By the end of her MOS training, she was wearing 50 pounds of gear.

You know those pics you see of soldiers with the helmet, gun, flak jacket, yada yada? The lightest of those outfits comes in at 50 pounds. Depending on the MOS, there may be 25 or more pounds of additional gear. They wear that stuff in the Middle East when it’s so hot, my kids tell me, “You know those hand dryers in public restrooms? It’s like that.” They go through a LOT of Gold Bond powder.

Dearest walks the dogs and says there isn’t a single one anywhere in our development and where he’s driven recently, he’s seen only two total. Our area is one of the anti-fracking test law suit focal points in the nation.

TWO Obama signs? Two?! The whole county was crummy with them in 2008. He’s going into Ithaca tomorrow for meetings and errands; I’m curious to hear what he sees.

Ithaca is the home of Cornell University, the first non-sectarian university in the country, a place pastors told their kids NOT TO GO, because it was Godless. It still is. (

Not nearly as offended as we are that you are more than a street-corner race-hustler with a white man’s education.

Two thoughts on Pete’s articulate and welcome rant … one, thanks for the prayers for our safety … two, even if the big wigs appear to walk away scot free, God is waiting at Judgment.

No shame or punishment we could inflict would be even a single drop in the eternal ocean of pain they face after death.

If any of them is not so far gone that he or she could, as Charles Coulson did, repent and come to Jesus over this, I’d be all for that.

Beyond that, I mostly want to see justice done here for our sakes.
