If anybody gives you grief about being “disrespectful” toward their messiah, show them the piece of left-wing trash I found at the Daily Kos. Can you believe anyone actually DISSED George W. Bush (who they call “The Chimp”) for hosting special events for Wounded Warriors? They even managed, in the same short space, to DISS anyone and everyone who has ever worn the uniform. These people make me sick.
The Chimpster [brags about] sponsoring a golf tournament for Vets. How thoughtful. And why not? Most of them have fairly flexible schedules nowadays (unemployed).
Except for the few lucky troops who found time to practice at the driving range when not dodging IEDs, I imagine most have never stepped onto a golf course, other than to pick up trash, turn on the sprinklers or to find a quiet spot to spend the night?

We had a Democrat running for judge here while in a coma. Literally. He’d had a stroke, but they kept him on the ballot and after he WON, sat on the bench where he reportedly is performing about like you’d expect a man who had a stroke and spent weeks in a coma would perform. He’s on the ballot again this November.

I did it once, for about half an hour, got paid $3.50 and never even considered doing it again. And, yes, I did mean “criminal because it’s tax funded.” But also because there’s nothing all that unique about the person inside the suit. It’s the suit itself that’s the star. At the Disney-lands, actors compete to get to wear those suits and they sure don’t get paid six figures.

(Monday afternoon, just now catching up with the weekend.) The “Ryan lion” painting I used was a great find, I thought. At least it brought to my mind the Lion of Narnia. Plus, with just the slightest tweaking to the smile, it had Ryan’s expression while looking at babblin’ Joe!

Railroad Crossing (why can’t the trains cross somewhere there’s no road?)
Falling rocks (the government should move avalanches somewhere people don’t drive)
Bridge out ahead (those like the deer lady who ignored this sign never actually got a chance to complain)

One of my kids met Marine One in 2007. Dubya told her little group it really boosted his morale to be greeted by a group of young Marines who were, of COURSE, decked out in their best dress, said he had had a tough morning and needed some cheering up.
I looked up where he’d been; meeting with the DNC.
Corporal K was so whelmed that he was thanking them for being there for him, when they were feeling it was this tremendous honor to be allowed to greet him on his own lawn and speak with him, shake his hand.
Later, we got an official photo of him with the group from the White House. The sun was in their eyes, so it’s a terrible picture of all of them. But it means SO much to me.
