Chrissy or Bob:I had some success posting images by right-clicking to open a new window,uploading images and inserting into post.Now the scans will upload but won’t insert.Any expertise you might share would be much appreciated.When it comes to techie stuff I’m as sharp as a bowling ball.

Pete, I WISH I had a clue why it isn’t working for you. :o/. I found them in the gallery, click Show then Insert into Post and they loaded. The only things I can think to try are to dump your cache and do a cold reboot of your computer. I can tell you how if you use Firefox. One of my “usually works fine” things got all wonky and a techie told me to do that. It removed whatever had gotten corrupted and reloaded the original clean versions that had worked before. Chrissy P.S., I LOVE the Spongebob cartoon!! LOL

IKWYM about the “for adults” stuff. LOL My dds looooooved The Little Mermaid and watched it so often when they were young that we all had chunks of it memorized. One college break, our youngest went on a nostalgia binge, re-watching golden oldies, including TLM. I remember her repeatedly saying, “I don’t remember THAT!” LOL All those jokes they put in to keep the grown-ups amused went over her head when she was little. Remembering how shocked she was at some of the double entendres and by-play still makes me giggle. 🙂

      I am thankful that I feel more accepted around here. Thanks Chrissie, for allowing us to speak freely and for all the work you and PP do to keep this blog going. It is so nice to have this little refuge in the garden.

      I think it will happen. A lot of blacks still have a deep faith. They may never admit they would vote against obo, but I bet when they get into that voting booth, they will put God before the self proclaimed messiah.

        My only coda to his remarks is to note that while there probably are whites who will never vote for a black, the reverse is also true. Ditto gender, creed and sexual orientation. In both directions and on all counts.

        I am REALLY sick of people who don’t know me judging the condition of my heart, mind and soul based on which of two candidates I decide to vote for!

        I really wish we could all get over JUDGING EACH OTHER and just focus on judging the CANDIDATES based on the issues and their characters, so we can each make the best choices we can.

        If someone doesn’t understand why I back a candidate, they can ASK. Or read this blog. It’s not like I’m at all shy about saying! LOL

      After we knock out Barry, Dicky Dirtbag becomes prime target for the IL tea party.
      He is the driving force behind the ethanol debacle, which has raised feed prices because of all the crops now going to this biofuel crap; and he is constantly supporting the drug companies in his efforts to get supplements under more regulations.

        Try writing a short, polite letter. I got through to Sarah Palin with a personal suggestion about her jewelry. She wrote back to me personally, said that she and Todd had discussed my thoughts. So you never know.

            I googled for a mailing address in AK and used that. It took a while to actually reach her, but I can see why prominent people need to have others filter their mail. If it’s nice and also short, I am guessing it’ll eventually work its way through her peeps. Only addy I can find is:

        She most likely already knows about it. A goiter remaining is not indication it is not being treated. I come from a long line of autoimmune thyroid goiter toting dna, and the goiter does not always go away, especially if there are other autoimmune diseases present.

      What they are really missing is that most women are past childbearing age-and we are the women who actually vote!
      I just do not remember many young women, including me, being all that engaged with politics back in the day. We were too busy changing diapers and cleaning up little messes,(and snuggling).
      But I will never forget how offended I was when HRC made a mockery of us stay at home Moms with her “I could have stayed home and baked cookies” statement. That got my attention and I swore I would never vote for her husband because I did not want to see someone like her in the white house. They won anyway, as we know, thanks to Ross Perot.
      So I say to these demwits, keep trying to push this issue. It is going to finally hit home to young moms, and backfire big time.

        I couldn’t stand Hillary Clinton because she reminded me of all the people (including members of my own family) who despised me because I had thrown my life away (according to them) by choosing not to have a career outside the home. Democrats hold non-feminist women in utter contempt, and Democrat women are some of the worst misogynists around.

          You are so right. I had the same problems. I sacrificed a job I loved for my kids. I decided it would be crazy to run myself ragged teaching other peoples kids, and then be too drained to come home and spend time with my own.
          Gee, I could be collecting one of those fat teacher pensions right now!
          But I have never regretted my decision. I made the right choice. I do feel sorry for women who have no choice, but to try to do both. It must be incredibly tough.

    I got an email from the Blaze, saying Col West is way behind in the polls because the dems are putting out the big bucks to get him out,just as they are with Mia Love and other black conservatives.
    I was thinking that if the Col. loses, even though it would cost a house seat, it might not be so bad. He needs a place in the Romney admin. where he can have a bigger profile. His voice needs to be louder. I would love to see him talk about how much the dems spent trying to shut up a black conservative. And I would love to see him as SOD!

    My mother told me tonight that she is depressed. Her Woman’s Club had Mark Halperin, author of Game Change, as the weekly speaker. She said he was really pushing that book of his and she did not know about all the false stuff in there about Sarah. She said if she had known that she would never have gone to the meeting. She said he claimed to be non-partisan but nobody in her group believed that for a minute. The worst part is that he calmly and confidently told the ladies that he was certain that Obama would win re-election. She was ready to get out the sherry 2 hours early after that revelation.

    I think I got her mad instead of sad, so she ought to be dialing all the ladies now to spread the word. They are the original tea party ladies – quite literally, as tea is still poured from a silver service at the meetings of this very large, and very old Woman’s Club. She has been after me to join for over 30 years, but Resist We Much!
