Oct 3 Prayer for our nation

[From the 40-day prayer guide for our nation. I ordered this in plenty of time, but did not get it in time to start on Day 1. I’m hoping that is because the printer go far many orders than anticipated and there is now a STORM of prayer going up from every corner of God’s Kingdom.]

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16

Father,

Give us Your guidance and strength as we honestly confess our sins to You and to one another. And give us compassionate hearts as we pray for each other and our leaders across the country and the world. Rid us of judgment, condemnation, and pride, and fill us with a spirit of grace, mercy and love. Create in our hearts a fervent desire to pray every day for Your leadership to reign in our lives.

[Please forgive any typos. I have a raging case of conjunctivitis in both eyes and can barely see.]

Can you take antibiotics? I think Gentamycin is the best and most effective. You also might try colloidal silver. It can be used as eye drops, although, using the 500ppm strength, I’ve never had occasion to try it in the eyes and don’t know what it would feel like; but it’s something you might check out on amazon.com.

Can’t use antibiotics. But my herbalist sent over some silver today and told me to use internally and as drops. It stings a bit, but my eyes are SO bad, even plain hypotonic saline stings and that usually feels really good on sore eyes.

I also found a recipe for an essential oil compress that is soothing. I kept waking up from the pain, but I’d put more of that on a cloth and slap it back on my eyes and I could get back to sleep.

  2. Good prayers for the nation, Chrissy. Thanks. I’ll be praying for your eyes today. I wish I had some suggestions, but I’m not too good with that stuff. Hang in there.
