Must read article for Obama watchers

From “Obama’s Strange Dependence on Valerie Jarrett” —

Michelle and Barack Obama’s closest friend and adviser is Chicago politico (and slumlord) Valerie Jarrett.

Jarrett has no qualifications to be the principal adviser to the president of the United States, yet he turns to her for definitive advice on all issues.

She has given him terrible advice over and over, and still he turns to her.

Jarrett pushed ObamaCare. Rahm Emanuel advised a small, bipartisan health care reform. Emanuel is now out of the White House.

Jarrett pushed the Solyndra fiasco. Larry Summers warned Obama not to get involved in venture capital of any sort. Summers is now out of the White House.

Jarrett pushed Obama to take on the Catholic Church over contraception. Bill Daley argued against it. Daley is now out of the White House.

Jarrett told Obama that the mission to kill bin Laden was too politically risky. Obama listened to her for four months, canceling three operations to kill Osama bin Laden before finally saying yes on the fourth.

The “I made the decision to go after bin Laden” decision was ultimately not made because it was the right thing to do, but because they were worried about the political fall-out if the public learned that Obama had refused to go after bin Laden when he had the chance!

Show me your budget

August 13, 2012: In North Carolina, Vice President Biden, quoted a wise thing his dad used to say:

Somebody would say, “Let me tell you what’s important to me, what I value.” And my dad would say, “No, no, no. Don’t tell me what you value. Show me your budget and I will tell you what you value.

It’s at the end of this very short [:28] clip.

It’s very puzzling to me that Vice President Biden allowed the words “Show me your budget” to cross his lips!

In January 1973, when Joe Biden first joined the U.S. Senate, the National Debt hit its lowest point since World War II. [*National Debt as a share of GDP.]

In January 2001, at the start of President George W. Bush’s two terms in office, Senator Joe Biden had been a member of Congress for 28 years, during which time federal deficit spending escalated almost continuously.

During the eight years of the Bush Administration, the National Debt increased by $4.9 Trillion. Biden was in the Senate all eight years; Obama was in the Senate for the last two.

$ 5.7 Trillion = January 2001 National Debt

+$4.9 Trillion = 8 years under Bush

$10.6 Trillion = January 2009 National Debt

$12.3 Trillion = January 2010 National Debt

$13.9 Trillion = January 2011 National Debt

$15.2 Trillion = January 2012 National Debt

+$4.9 Trillion = 3.3 years under Obama (March 2012)

$16.0 Trillion = August 2012 National Debt

Under the leadership of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, the federal government more than DOUBLED the pace at which they are plunging our nation headlong into national bankruptcy and another Great Depression.

As Joe’s dad would say, “Show me your budget and I’ll tell you what you value.”

Point zero zero six percent

That’s .006%. It represents the percent of legal abortions that have been performed in Great Britain to save the life of or prevent grave permanent injury to the physical or mental health of the mother.

In real numbers, that is 143 abortions. 143 of the 6,400,000 legal abortions performed in Great Britain between 1968 and 2011 for reasons other than imminent danger to the mother.

British Pro-Life advocate, David Alton, says,

With evidence accumulating of abortions carried out on the grounds of gender, and of forged authorization forms, these latest figures underline why a rigorous independent review of the 1967 [abortion] Act is long overdue and why society needs to reassess the presumption that ending the life of an unborn child is merely a matter of choice.

Perhaps most worrying of the 2012 statistics is the high number of teenagers undergoing multiple abortions. The deep psychological effects abortion can have on a woman are well publicized and recognized by most as a critical concern.

Despite this, little to nothing is being done to help those who have been through this process – with all the anguish and distress it entails –multiple times before they have even reached full emotional maturity.

Alton cited documentation for three teenage girls, who have had a combined total of 24 abortions!
