Common sense on gun control

The mass murder in Aurora, Colorado, has brought forth the usual Leftist calls for more gun control legislation. Obama is no exception, weeping crocodile tears for

“the dozens gunned down on the streets of Chicago and Atlanta, and here in New Orleans … Milwaukee or Cleveland.”

Romney made a different, and to my mind more common sense, point.

“A lot of what this … young man did was clearly against the law. But the fact that it was against the law did not prevent it from happening.”

  1. I love it when liberals talk as if they think someone who has no qualms about committing homicide can be stopped if you make it illegal for him to own guns. Earth to liberals: Homicide is already illegal, and that didn’t stop him, so why do think making gun ownership illegal is going to stop him? What planet are you living on anyway?

Criminals and tyrannical governments both love gun control laws, because life is so much easier for them when their victims are unarmed and helpless.

Right. The movie theater’s “NO GUNS” policy only kept the law-abiding viewers’ from bringing weapons into the theater. It didn’t do a dang thing to stop the whack job … which BTW some armed law-abiding viewers might have been able to do!
