I heard a demwit on Fox News Sunday this morning saying Obamacare has already created hundreds of thousands of jobs. Yeah, more bureaucrats and IRS agents. The thing that was really maddening is the the Gopher who was supposed to give the other side, did not say a word, so people will actually believe that obamacare creates jobs.
What about all the doctors who will be quitting.
When are republicans going to get some spine and talk back.

The web cartoonist getting sued by some litigious lawyer raised many times the amount asked (none went to the lawyer; he photographed the money and sent that, then gave the money to charity). The lady on the bus bullied by the kids got oodles of boodle in days, to send her on a vacation… I think it was $200K last I heard; nice vacation. They keep raising Zimmerman’s bail and he keeps meeting it. Think this believer’s going to have to raise the money all by himself? The wonders of the Intertubz! Not long ago, none of these people could have found that kind of support. Now, “the principle of the thing” can matter more.

Awww, can I ride on you guys’ victim coat-tails the way Obambi does? Cuz criminetly … I toured Europe when I was 11 and visited Helsinki, Leningrad and Moscow my senior year in high school.
My mother loved to tell about us visiting some folks who had a beach house on Cape Cod. I was getting ready to go swimming and the hostess asked (in what my mother reported was a rather condescending tone) if this was my first time to get to swim in the ocean. Mom said I replied politely that, yes it was my first time in the Atlantic, but I’d been in the Mediterranean.
The bestest I can do with the whole poor pitiful me thing is to pull out my sorry tales of having to actually walk two miles to and from junior high school, three when I went to summer school. It wasn’t uphill both ways, but it sure as shootin’ wasn’t a weenie hill coming home. If you’ve ever been to Ithaca, you know.

How about child molestation laws? Members of NAMBLA believe it is not just morally ok for grown men to have sex with young boys, but that it’s actually GOOD for the children.
How about monogamy laws? There were (maybe still are) Mormons who believed that polygamy was a religious right. We forced them to stop doing it.
How about civil rights laws? Did we or did we not, as a nation, force our morality on countless Americans who believed they had a right to own slaves, keep blacks from voting, refuse to hire, rent to, sit with, even use the same drinking fountains and bathrooms as blacks?
How about female suffrage? Lots of people thought it would be better if women did not have a right to vote. We forced our morality on them.
Is there any law anywhere that doesn’t force something on somebody? Whether it’s a biggie like rape or murder or small stuff like smoking or littering, we force our morality on each other every single day.

ALL laws impose morality. That’s what they’re for. Laws that prohibit homicide, rape, armed robbery, assault and battery, burglary, slander, libel, vandalism, you name it — all of them are legislating morality. Anyone who tells you “you can’t legislate morality” is an absolute idiot. (Or an anarchist. I have a couple of those in my family, I’m sorry to say.)

If you go back to colonial times, you’ll find laws that explicitly reference the Bible verse(s) that are the reason behind why the law was written and passed. Man’s laws were intended to be in Harmony with God’s Word. This could ruffle some feathers, but…

I hear you. I detest big government, but just because I think government is too big, too powerful, too expensive, and too intrusive doesn’t mean I think we shouldn’t have any government at all. I favor the smallest government possible, consistent with a relatively peaceful, orderly society.
