You have doubtlessly read so much about last night you don’t need to hear my opinion.Too bad. It’s my post,so here’s my .02:
I turned on MSDNC last night for a few seconds, since that’s all I can stand. There was Madcow, squirming like somebody put a chipmunk in her pantyhose. She was smiling into the camera and exulting that Obeyme is still ahead of Romney,so the recall wasn’t all that important. That was one excuse I’ve heard for last nights ass-whooping.The other is that they were outspent by a large margin. To me the difference is unions used money they took forcibly from their members while Walker’s money came from citizens all over the country who are tired of public union employees who make far more than private sector workers in pay and benefits act like spoiled brats who go on a destructive rampage when they don’t get everything their own way. They could care less if the states go broke as long as they get theirs. The election was nothing short of stunning in its magnitude and the impact it’s going to have in a few short months.

Congratulations to the people of Wisconsin for standing by strong leaders who made tough decisions in dire circumstances that have begun to turn their great state back to prosperity. Leadership is doing what is right, not what is popular. Both Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch are shining examples of this ideal. Elected leaders must do what we elect them to do – lead! – not follow polls or focus on only re-election. A special congratulations to Lt. Gov. Kleefisch who overcame much personal adversity, stood by her governor, and embraced her Tea Party roots.

It was so much fun to chat with Lt Gov Kleefisch at the Chicago tea party. She is such a fiery speaker and so much fun. This woman is Palin part deux. We even shared a survivors joke. I told her I had had breast cancer. She asked me if I beat it and I said hell yeah, I kicked it’s butt. She laughed and said she did too because she had butt cancer! It was so funny. Then I said to her, maybe we should do a Cancer Sucks parody to “T & A” from A Chorus Line.
We had such a good laugh together.
I hope she is going places.
I also hope she stops eating that Wisconsin sausage. That stuff causes colon cancer.

Obama Disrespects the Air Force Academy Graduates
Hi All,
I just wanted to pass on a little info in case some of you were not aware of this. Yesterday was the Air force Academy graduation ceremony. My friend from Texas had just arrived and we drove down the road to watch the Thunderbirds air show after the ceremony was finished. Most of you know Pres. Obama spoke at the ceremony and handed out the diploma’s. When this finished it was time for the Thunderbirds to fly. There was one maneuver then they disappeared. A man standing by me called a friend at Peterson Field and found out that the air show was halted because Obama wanted to leave. A helicopter soon appeared and flew around in a circular pattern above where we were – basically doing reconnesance as Obama’s motor-cade was exiting the Air Force Academy. He was going to Denver to do some more campaigning since Colorado is a swing state. After he left the Thunderbirds came back and continued the show for the graduates…….(read rest at link)

What I said in the previous message about possibly previously posting goes for this one, too. I’ve watched this three times now, and I just can’t keep from getting all teary. Why try?
Of all the horrors of war and national division during my high school and college years, over Viet Nam and the Draft and all, one of the most lingering, sickening memories was the abuse heaped on returning soldiers. It’s hard to convey to my kids, it’s so unbelievable. I wasn’t clear about all the issues (in an era when our main source of information was Walter Cronkite), but I was always clear on this: It didn’t matter what you thought about the war or politics or the draft, these returning men and women deserved congratulations, thanks, and to be given good jobs, and they got spit, derision, and ostracism.
That abominable history just makes scenes like this all the more sweet to watch, though.
