THE LINCOLN’S BIRTHDAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

ON FEB.12,1809 OUR 16TH PRESIDENT,ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS BORN.

Ting,I’m chartreuse with envy that you got to see Sarah live.I watched on CSPAN and like the crowd there I got a little impatient with all the stuff they had to do before she spoke.I sat there watching her deliver her awesome message and kept asking myself:WHY THE HELL ISN’T SHE OUR CANDIDATE?????

People backing Newt claim he could beat Obama in a debate.Sarah would gut him like a salmon. If the media thinks they’ve intimidated her into shutting up they better think again.

There is no one–no one in the Republican party that can command an audience the way she can.It takes a lot to completely disembowel somebody and seem so polite about it.She even got in a dig at the establishment GOP by saying some Tea Party members WILL have leadership positions next session.

I’ve read elsewhere the last few days that there is a possibility of a brokered convention and Jeb Bush might be drafted. We don’t need another Bush right now but can you imagine Gov. Palin coming out the winner? The sound of liberal heads exploding would be the stuff dreams are made of.It’s more than we can hope for,but we know she’ll be heard from again soon.

I saw the Occubaggers trying to disrupt her speech and were shouted down by folks shouting USA!USA!
Dana Loesch, who gave a great speech of her own, followed these rodents outside.

I wish that you could have been there, too, Pete – and everyone here, really. It was very exciting, but I think I missed a lot in all of that atmosphere because I honestly did not catch the “door is open” theme that almost everyone else seems to have thought was a big deal.

Dana Loesch was a firecracker in her part of the panel discussion of Tea Party/Occupy. I am not one bit surprised that she confronted those protestors. She was adamant that if we have a Dem. rep. in Congress that we confront them with the Occupy statistics of violence and ask them if the condone it, or accept it. She said to get them on the record and spread it far and wide. She looked a bit like she could have been a well-dressed version of an Occupier, in that she had dark nail polish and tight leather(?) pants, large hoop earrings, etc. She just looked very “hip”, I guess, but I know that is not the word that she would like to see. She is a beautiful woman, who is younger than I am and she really pulled off her look.

Daniel Hannan was very inspiring, too, and very well received.

It was interesting to me that there were quite a lot of young people (had to be students) in the audience and they stayed put all day long just like we did.
Most were well dressed and wore Ron Paul or Romney buttons. They were well behaved and they were seated when we arrived around 11:00 AM and did not leave until we did about 5:30 after Sarah had left the stage. I could only conclude that they wanted to see Sarah. No one would sit like that as a virtual prisoner in that room all day for any other reason. I kept worrying that they should eat – the mother in me, I guess.

I was glad to see that Pew result that 67% see the media as biased. Maybe we can actually get somewhere now.
