Joe,you sold your soul for a job at a piece-of-crap network because you needed the money. We get that.Debasing yourself for the amusement of left-wing hacks while still touting yourself as a conservative is a fantasy only you can enjoy.Seeing a once-decent man reduced to a liberal boot-kisser is what pisses us off.Now go away,Joey.

I have become very sensitive to political meta-messaging in entertainment and have some GOOD news. Last night, I was watching Sanctuary: Season 3, Disk 5 (2010 season).

It has an episode set in WWII that includes a line about “Socialist-Nazism.”

The Democratic Media Complex has inculcated our culture with the false idea that Nazism was a RIGHT wing government. This is false. Nazism was just another form of BIG government, like Communism and Socialism, which the Left so admire.

This factoid is among the many things I’ve learned as I become better educated, so that hyphenation of Socialism with Nazism in the script of a television show really stuck out for me in a YAHOOO!!! way.

At the end of that episode, there is also a statement of gratitude for all those who have served in the military “to provide the rest of us with sanctuary.” Choked me up (while I was going YAHOO again).

Dearest said one of the peeps he listens to (Mark Levin?) started his show with a loooooong series of Obama and Biden gaffes … just to balance the ad nauseum Laughing Stock Media playing Perry’s one gaffe.

I remember reading a pundit in 2008 saying he generally doesn’t pay much attention to campaign gaffes, because campaigning is exhausting and tired people say and do some stupid things.

Then he went on to discuss the offensive way the media only reported Right-wing gaffes, as if they were significant, while ignoring Left-wing gaffes, as if they were not. I thought he made a really good point.

I actually found Perry’s gaffe quite endearing.

I think there is a great need for the NOTRomney group. Thanks for that article. It is disturbing that conservatives are so fractured among Cain, Perry, Gingrich, Bachmann, and Santorum. I can’t for the life of me figure out which one of the Not Romneys is deserving of my vote. I see huge negatives with all of them. I would be willing to vote for one of them (not donate or volunteer – none of them inspire that in me!) if there was a better consensus among conservatives mostly all getting behind one of them. Without that, I don’t see how anything good will come about in 2012. I found that article in The Hill interesting from that standpoint.

One of the “lions” on Conseratives4Palin suggests a quick conservative convention of sorts where one of the candidates is selected and everyone agrees to support that one, before the primaries get underway. I don’t see how that can be organized at this late date, but it needs to be done, or we are looking at Romney getting slaughtered by Obama, I don’t care what the polls say now. He is just the poster boy for the rich, uncaring Republican caricature, and that will not win now. That is what Occupy is really all about – setting the stage for opposition to an investment banker as POTUS.

Congressman Walsh posted this at his website:

“I have hosted a ‘Cup of Joe with Joe’ event every single weekend since I have been in office. I show up at coffee houses in the district and anyone can meet with me to discuss any issue. These are fun, engaging sessions, and I often meet with people who disagree with me and the conversation can become spirited. The woman I most recently had a heated discussion with was great and she appreciated how open these events are. I apologized to her for getting a bit too passionate to which she smiled and did not mind at all.

“Regarding the substance of which I was referring – I have never been a ‘pal of big banks’ and I would have voted against the bank bailout in 2009. If banks abuse their charters, they should be prosecuted. But banks are not all to blame for this mess – government policy that advocated for every American to become a homeowner is at fault for this disaster. To allow and encourage Freddie and Fannie to approve loans to people with no credit history and no money down was a disaster waiting to happen. Despite some Republicans attempts to enact reform, Democrats, like Barney Frank, killed any attempt at reform. The banks followed the rules set forth by the government, and further meddling by the government will only exasperate the problem.
