Following his Talk About the Economy bus tour and while he’s been enjoying a posh vacay on Martha’s Vineyard at taxpayers’ expense, Obama’s approval ratings sank to their lowest ever. On Sunday, he told reporters it was Congress’ fault.
In other words, he thinks we’re too dumb to know the difference between him and Congress.
Sorry, Barry. Recent polls demonstrate clearly that the problem isn’t stupid Americans. It’s YOU.
August 1, 2011: A CNN poll taken at the end of the debt ceiling debate:
- Obama Approve 45% Disapprove 52% No opinion 2%
- Congress Approve 14% Disapprove 84% No opinion 2%
- Difference Approve 31% Disapprove 32%
August 16-20, 2011: Two GALLUP polls
- Obama Approve 40% Disapprove 53% No opinion 7%
- Congress Approve 13% Disapprove 84% No opinion 3%
- Difference Approve 27% Disapprove 31%
Congress’ numbers have stayed the same throughout August. It’s Barry’s numbers that have dropped. There’s been a slight increase in disapproval since the CNN poll, but the BIG change has been among people who still approved of Obama three weeks ago. Now? Not so much. Five percent more of them now say they don’t know what to think of him.
Five percent. And that is ALL on him. Not bad Congress that can’t get anything done. Not the evil House majority that is so whipped by the Tea Party. And not stupid Americans who don’t know the difference between Congress and the President.
Him. Barack Hussein Obama Jr.

August 21, 2011: Obama says his low approval rating is a reflection of public unhappiness with Congress.
