  1. No surprise that the commie in chief would go for redistribution of wealth. Unfortunate but not surprising.

Those are some powerful adjectives, Chrissy. Tell us how you really feel! This was one of the most disturbing things that I read on Pete’s Grudge Report this morning and now you have condensed it into one of your postcards. I bet the lady who prints them and hangs them in her office will get a lot of feedback on this one.

It’s a guy actually … an ex-Army Ranger. I don’t expect he gets much crap from the libbies he works with … at least, not more than once per. LOL

He told me one time when he was in uniform, a leftie assaulted him with her “I’m a lesbian and you’re a nazi asshat” attitude.

There’s one thing I really admire about military training and that is the soldiers learn to keep their tempers under extreme provocation. I used to think the abuse the Drill Instructors heaped on recruits was horrible and evil. Hey, I grew up liberal … but I’m over it now!

Anyway, when my kids went into the military, I learned a LOT. And one thing was that the abuse is very deliberate and an important part of their training. They NEED to wash out the people who can’t handle the stress. Better to do it sooner rather than later.

So anyway, this friend of mine let the lesbian shoot off her mouth and then said, “Have you ever given any thought to the fact that it’s people like me who wear this uniform who won and protect your right to talk to me like that?”

To her credit, she actually admitted he was right and she’d never thought of it that way before.

      • Wow, an honest liberal! Wonders never cease.

        I love this quote:

“It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag.” – Father Dennis Edward O’Brian, USMC

Everywhere in our society, it is the guys who carry the guns who enforce all the rights and privileges enjoyed by the people who despise the guys with guns.

I watched an episode of Leverage last night that had a great line in it. The “enforcer” on the Leverage team is a former Special Forces type. He faces down a whole gang of whacko “mountain militia” types (the ones the media loves to portray but that, according to something I read, don’t actually exist in any numbers).

A loud-mouth in the gang yells at our hero that they’re “soldiers” in some great “freedom fight” and the hero says something like you’re a bunch of thugs. Blah blah. More insults. Then the kicker.

“The difference between you and a real soldier is you’ll kill people to protect your own rights, while a real soldier will die to protect someone else’s.”

          Amen to that, brother.
