Here’s what’s blooming today…

Because of the long winter, everything is behind schedule in Wisconsin. And because of the terrible economy, I haven’t had any money to spend on flowers. So what we have in the garden is whatever survived from last year. Fortunately, the forget-me-nots I planted a few years ago not only come back every spring, they multiply and become more vibrant and more beautiful every year.

I decided not to mar the beauty of today’s floral posting with stick-a-fork-in-my-eye MEchelle pictures. However, for those who enjoy the diversion of mocking out MOTUS, there is a goodie .. or should I say baddie? at

Next to this are two others that inexplicably show Barack looking more badly dressed that FLOTUS … crooked tie, badly fitted suits. Weird. He usually looks so perfect.

Her white gown is a tad too long and I could lose the bow at the waist and the heinous, too long earrings. But at least it fits and flatters, which is way more than I can say for that ill fitting, too heavy horror that Camilla chose. Oy.

As for MEchelle’s black gown, well, black is slimming and she has beautiful shoulders, so it should have been a lot better than it was. What were they thinking to smush her itty bitty boobs even smaller while exposing that bizarre crevasse mid-chest … ick.

And then to pile on to a classic black satin gown that gloppy, too big pile of “assembled at Bob’s DIY” hardware … as a jewelry artist, I am offended. Seriously. Jewelry should flatter the woman, not make you want to offer her a tylenol or a scarf, KWIM?

Oh, I just love those forget me nots. We have something here called Virginia Bluebells that also have that rich blue blossom. I used to love them in my old shady yard, but the one I have had for the last 27 years is almost all sun. Thanks for the reminder!
