We could have a new Pope before Easter

Pope Benedict XVI

Pope Benedict XVI announced Monday he will resign on February 28, because his health makes it too difficult for him to perform the duties. He is 85 years old. It’s the first time in more than 600 years that a Pope has resigned.

    I found what I think is St. Malachy’s vision @ http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/malachy.htm

    Recent popes and Malachy’s prophecy

Pope John XXIII (1958-1963) Malachy’s #107 Malachy’s prophecy: “Pastor et Nauta.” Translation: Pastor and Marine. Prior to his election, he was patriarch of Venice, a marine city.

Pope Paul VI (1963-1978) Malachy’s #108 Malachy’s prophecy: “Flos florum.” Translation: Flower of flowers. His papal coat of arms displayed three fleur-de-lis, which are stylized lilies.

Pope John Paul I (1978) Malachy’s #109 Malachy’s prophecy: “De medietate Lunae.” Translation: From the midst of the moon. He was born in the diocese of Belluno (beautiful moon) and his papacy lasted one month, from August 26, 1978 to September 28, 1978. According to phases of moon calendar @ http://www.moonconnection.com/moon_phases_calendar.phtml, the perfect half moon (waning) was on August 25 and September 24 that year.

Pope John Paul II (1978-2005) Malachy’s #110 Malachy’s prophecy: “De labore Solis.” Translation: “Of the eclipse of the sun, or from the labour of the sun.” He was born on May 18, 1920 when there was a partial solar eclipse. His funeral mass was celebrated April 8, 2005, when there was a total solar eclipse. (Solar eclipse info @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_May_18,_1920 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_April_8,_2005.)

Pope Benedict XVI (2005-2013) Malachy’s #111 Malachy’s prophecy: “Gloria olivae.” Translation: “Glory of the Olive.” The Garden of Gethsemane was on the Mount of Olives; a gethsemane was an oil press, used to squeeze olive oil out of the olive fruit. Olive oil is used in all of the Catholic “Anointing Sacraments” (Baptism, Confirmation, Ordination, Anointing of the Sick). In Old Testament times, olive oil was used as fuel in the Temple menorah and also to anoint the Kings of Israel. In 1997, when he turned 70, he asked then-Pope John Paul II for permission to leave the demanding post as head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith for partial retirement as a librarian in the Vatican Library. The pope refused. In 2005, when he was 78, he is said to have sat in Conclave and begged God to let him retire. He was elected Pope. He chose the name Benedict; a benediction (Latin: bene, well + dicere, to speak) is a short invocation for divine help, blessing and guidance, usually spoken at the end of worship service.

Pope ?? (2013-??) Malachy’s #112 Malachy’s prophecy: “In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oues in multis tribulationibus: quibus transactis ciuitas septicollis diruetur, & Iudex tremêdus iudicabit populum suum. Finis.” Translation: “In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End.”

    Some preponderances about http://www.vaticanstate.va/EN/State_and_Government/

    >If Vatican City is a country, an established monarchy, and Catholics place themselves under this authority and government, how does that impact their citizenship in other countries? Are they dual citizens? Where is their allegience? To the monarchy/Vatican City/the representative government of their faith? If American, to the Constitution? The Constitution made a big point of not having a State Religion, but isn’t that what the Catholic Church is? A State Religion?

    Respectfully submitted,

Left out part of the preponderances>
Of the approximately 800 residents of Vatican City, over 450 have Vatican citizenship. These include the approximately 135-strong Swiss Guard. > A Church that sets up a government, as a country, with a standing army, so to speak?

Thank you, Holy Father, for stepping all over the Lightworker’s SOTU media cycle.

John Paul taught us how to die. Pope Benedict shows us how to step aside in humility and love
