Hope in God

“Our hope is not in a party or platform or candidate. Our hope is in a God who is a loving Father and who remains on his throne regardless of who wins an election. If your faith is shaken/bolstered because your candidate wins or loses, you’re worshiping the wrong god.”

Saw on Twitter: It was a nice republic while it lasted.

Is it too extreme to say the End Times have now officially begun?

Could someone remove the countdown please?

  3. Mrs Mindful came back from the doctor’s the other day with two glossy-paper large-size printouts that a person at the doc’s had given to her. One was that image you used the other day of Jesus lifting Peter out of the waters of faithlessness. The fellow who gave it to her said, he just printed off some pictures he’d found on the web. Maybe he didn’t get it from PoliNation, but that’s quite a coincidence, I think!

Remove the countdown? You meant reset it to 2016, right? So evenly divided is our house, no matter which way the vote had gone, the ongoing battle would have been much the same, Trust in men or princes is always misplaced. And all the rest of Psalm 118.

I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

  4. We either believe it or we don’t. If we DO believe it, even when it’s hard, then (after a BRIEF-but appropriate time of mourning and drumming our heels on the floor), then we need to pick ourselves up and live as if we KNOW that God is still in charge. I will myself soon; right now I’m still drumming my heels on the floor…….

Daniel 2:21: “…he removeth kings, and setteth up kings…” Psalm 31:15 “My times are in your hand…”. Isaiah 46:10 “46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”

“drumming” … love the image! We indulged in copious weeping (me) and hugging (Dearest of me), talking and praying together, followed by ice cream with fudge sauce. It helped beat back the depression and despair. My big challenge since has been fear. I was counting too hard on Romney’s win giving investors hope, which is essential for anyone to hire an architect.

We must have faith that God does have a plan for us.
    Never lose faith.
Right now, all we have is prayer.
It is all we have ever had.
    Amen.
