    How far have we come from rate-a-record to rate an i-tune download?
    He helped us all get through those difficult growing pains as adolescents.

      When I was very small, I lived with my grandparents for a while and I love Mickey Mouse Club. I remember my aunt would come home from school and immediately change the channel on me to Bandstand. I would get so mad at her. lol But of course, I grew up to love that show too. But I also still love the old Mickey Mouse Club.
      I miss my dear aunt, who died of heart disease too young. She did not take care of herself.

        Wow … how different my growing up was. My folks bought a (for then) fancy schmancy stereo system when I was young and invested in LPs that played often enough that I think I knew them all by heart. I grew up on a musical diet of Broadway musicals and Big Band Era recordings. … “and the music goes round and round, oh wo wo wo wo wo wo wo, and it comes out here.”

And they especially could not maintain it when Obama so clearly expected the 4th estate to stay at heel regardless of how he sneered at them.

        The very result that timid conservatives and liberal reporters feared will eventually catch up with them: loss of credibility.

        On the flipside, those who questioned Obama’s bizarre secrecy eventually will be vindicated.”

    Hearing the term “bracketing” tossed about these days? Sounds like something you do when you’re picking a college basketball winner in March. But this has more to do with Mitt Romney’s strategy for November.

    Take what’s happening this week. President Obama has a campaign trip to Ohio. So what does the Romney campaign do? They set up a bunch of interviews for Romney with Ohio radio stations in the hours before the president’s speech. Then Romney goes to Ohio the next day to give the response to Obama.

    Team Romney sees this as “bracketing” the president, challenging Obama both before and after his speech with the GOP contender’s own messaging.

    “We’re stepping on the president’s message,” a Romney campaign official put it bluntly.

    As Philip Rucker with the Washington Post reports, Team Romney hopes its “bracketing” strategy will “force the president on the defensive.”
