NO,WHITE HOUSE NOT ‘COMPROMISING’ ON BIRTH CONTROL MANDATE
First,he has absolutely NO authority to usurp the Constitution.
Second, anything he appears to backtrack on will be quickly reversed a nanosecond after he steals the election.
Third,he claims he’ll force insurance companies pay for contraception.Do you think they’ll pay for it?Nope, their policyholders will–dollar for dollar.

CATERPILLAR SAYS IT WILL NOT BUILD NEW NORTH AMERICAN PLANT IN ILLINOIS
Could it be because Quinn doubled the corporate tax and raised personal income tax by 66%?
That Illinois is the likeliest state to default on its debt, ahead of even California?
That this liberal-infested state has displayed overt hostility to business?
I’d still be working full time transporting Medicaid patients if this crummy state paid its bill.

‘IF THE IDEA OF GOVERNMENT-GRANTED RIGHTS WIN OUT,THE GOVERNMENT WILL OWN YOU’

    • If anyone has the time, could you grab the CPAC speeches and put them on the candidates’ pages? I’d like to get around to watching them eventually, but I’m swamped this weekend!

    http://www.good.is/post/rise-of-the-ronverts-break-up-with-obama-rebound-with-ron-paul/
The GOP has got to take the ronpaulbots more seriously. These young people are beginning to understand that they were duped by obama. Now if the will listen to the tea party platform, they will realize that is the direction we have to go.
Yes, they still need some education about a strong defense, but remember, many of us were anti war in the Nam era. We eventually learned the truth.
I just get so mad when the conservative pundits dismiss the Ron Paul movement as a lot of loonies. This group is the future and they need to be welcomed into the GOP if it has any prayer to survive. Otherwise, we are looking at a third party.

    • I don’t disagree with you, but the Paulbots are the ones who are completely unopen to hearing any other perspective on anything. That’s why they’re Paulbots. They worship at his altar. I know many conservatives and Tea Party types who have taken a long, hard look at Ron Paul and considered him for a potential candidate. All of the Ron Paul supporters I know just spend their time being angry that other people won’t see things their way and vote for their guy. It’s hard to get through to someone with blinders on. Unfortunately, we might just have to let them grow up on their own and learn from their mistakes.

      • What A Hoot

For What it is Worth. http://settlersofsamaria.org/vote-ron-paul-free-israel/ I love what this article says about freedom and is a different perspective on what makes Paul supporters so loyal and unwavering to their candidate. It sort of reminds me of something Robin of Berkely would write.
Over in these neck of the woods the Ron Paul supporters are the least angry people I have met (I am not one). They do get their undies in a twist , though, over the fact that the non-supporters of Ron Paul in the Republican party have mandated that if they speak of their candidate, even to address negative remarks about him (and sometimes blatant lies), they are expected to shut up because they are the crazy ones. Every one else can talk and rant and have entire blogs about their candidate of choice but they open their mouth and they are immediately shut up with name callings. Quite frankly, observing forums, the situation resembles the Dems demanding no more vitriol from the Right when they were the ones engaging in the violent rhetoric. For the most part it is not, in my observation, on blogs and facebook, the Paul followers being obsessively ugly but the mainstream Republicans. In fact that is my little gage meter to determine if someone is an establishment Republican or not; if they start name calling and calling crazy and tell a Ron Paul supporter to quit drinking the koolaid, I determine they are establishment. If they actually address the issue presented by the Paul supporter and engage in open dialogue even though they are for someone else and totally against Paul, they are not wound up from being spoon fed fear-of-ron-paul-getting-elected–not establishment pushing Romney. The Paul supporters I know are a sheriff, a mainstream mellow preacher, a couple of respected business owners. AND none of them are young. None are leftover hippies, either, but conservative Republicans. I must live in a bubble because the loonies I keep hearing about don’t exist in my little bitty world. (I hope my typos and sentence structure will be overlooked as I am clicking away at a sticky keyboard and really should be asleep.

GP, I agree with what you are conveying. I have seen people who have always been civil go nuts over Ron Paul supporters. It has become standard to accept it is ok (and even the right thing to do)to break down civility towards them because they are crazy nut jobs and/or mentally ill. Oh well.

Rose, you say, “Unfortunately, we might just have to let them grow up on their own and learn from their mistakes.” The problem I see going on is supporters of Newt and Romney won’t let them grow up on their own; they have a strong desire to badger, demean, name call, and treat them as unworthy to be a part of the political process.

        • That’s an interesting take, because I’ve experienced just the opposite. I’ve seen Ron Paul supporters going around the internet whining that others won’t even consider their candidate, while simultaneously pushing the meme that “RP’s the only one who can save this country.” So, they’re not willing to consider anyone else, but are upset that others won’t automatically jump in the boat for their guy. It goes both ways. They also do a lot to isolate and segregate themselves from other candidates’ supporters, then whine that they’re on the fringe and not included.

Here’s an example…people I know who support Gingrich or Santorum are willing to consider the other guy and maybe even Ron Paul, but not Romney. People I know who support either Romney or Ron Paul are completely unwilling to consider anyone else, because their guy is “the only one…” From what I’ve seen of Ron Paul supporters online, they obsess over Ron Paul the same way that Obama’s supporters obsess over him. Now, this speaks very little about the candidates themselves, but it doesn’t draw others in to want to hear what they have to say. The only people I’ve actually witnessed pushing Paul’s supporters out is Paul’s supporters themselves. I guess I haven’t been in the same places you have, ’cause I just haven’t seen what you’re describing.

          • Bob

Where I live I see both attitudes — the one described by Hoot and the one described by Rose. Most of my family members are Ron Paul supporters, and so are the majority of my friends who are not in the tank for Obama, so I’m kind of surrounded.

            • GP

Since I spend most of energy with people in the holistic health movement, I am surrounded by paulbots. Almost all are former Obama supporters who bought into the hope and change spiel and are sorely disappointed with the WON. They have been programed to feel that the GOP is the enemy but Paul actually has them considering another viewpoint. They have the same zealous support for Ron Paul that they did for Obo. This is the typical democrat mindset. They are all about emotional support, not common sense. But as I said, these supporters are ripe for more educating. They have an anti government mindset; they just have to get over a lot of programming.
I just wish the GOP would realize this and encourage them rather than bash them.
A lot of these folks are good friends of mine and good people who really want to help others. We need them in the GOP. This is how we will change this party for the better, and this is what I try to convey to them.

Hannity had a great panel of religious leaders on last night, black and white, catholic and protestant. It is so obvious that this attack on religion is a concerted effort to diminish the influence of the church. The flack Obama caused is uniting the clergy. It is going to be Obama’s nightmare. It has shifted the talk from the GOP to him. I hope people remember this in November!
